Handsome, Luscious, Lovable, Soft & Mushy. You actually have to be with Holden and touch him .. feel his incredibly soft super plush coat.. and then let him love on you.. you feel like his best ever human friend.. and snuggle with him and watch him fall no melt over on his back giving up his full belly for rubs.. to get what an incredible boy he is!! Holden's soft and easy on the leash.. happy to go anywhere you want and do whatever you want.. at whatever speed you want to do it at!!! Holden greets everyone with a polite and cheerful welcome! He is over the moon HANDSOME!! Crazy ridiculous HANDSOME! Holden thinks being a lap dog is bliss.. if you get down on the ground/floor he will slither and snug onto your lap .. relax as much of himself onto as much of you as he can... he loves connection.. affection.. he has the sweetest eyes and the most sincere gaze! Story
Rockford is an incredibly precious boy with the moist ridiculously adorable mug! and like a few of our other dogs, highly perceptive... he watches and feels everything! He likely was born with a keen awareness of his environment but we also feel certain his early life experience honed his acutely perceptive nature. What this means in Rockfords case is he will understand what your breath is saying! It's an incredible gift actually to be able to share communication with a dog like Rockford. WE so love seeing this sweet chocolate brindle boy be relaxed and content & so unlike the petrified puppy who arrived to us with burned skin, thin, wormy and sickly! Rockford has always come to life in the company of other dogs and we have used that to help him find HIS way to befriending people.. Rockford is a dog that will require dedication and loyalty.. he doesn't trust new people easily, not in an aggressive way, just so incredibly reserved. Life has told him that is the way to keep himself safe.. Once in Rockford's trust circle, it is so rewarding to watch his layers unfold!! For more info on Rockford and his journey, visit our website.. better yet, fill out an application to come give this darling a boy a chance!

Story
Meet Scarlett! At 1-2 years old, this 40 pound boxer/rottweiler mix sweetheart is one Southern Belle. She is has a striking brindle coat and the most expressive eyes. Those eyes are just looking for a patient family to give her the love she so deserves. Found as a stray, Scarlet is still a bit timid around new people and new situations but with time and patience she is opening up new experiences. This special girl would do well in a home with experienced dog people who can provide her with the safety and support she needs to build up her confidence and trust. She will succeed best in a home with the calmness of older children and mellower other pets- she is great with both dogs and cats. Scarlett loves to snuggle up to her foster family who she looks to for guidance and encouragement. She is crate trained and house trained as well. This little lady doesn't need a Tara- just a warm and loving home to settle into. Scarlett hopes it will be yours 💗 Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here:(https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). Please read about the adoption process (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. All fields on the application must be completed in order for our volunteers to process it (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/) Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care, so please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested prior to submitting. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health and safety of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering, and microchipping before transporting our dogs. Then, we provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources, so if you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Carey Grant is one handsome Boxer mix boy that is about 6 years old and weighs 60 pounds.  This love of a dog was in a shelter in Nashville, TN but no one goes there to adopt much at all.  This boy was definitely worth the save.  He actually acts like a 2-3 year old dog as he loves to run circles in the yard when he gets excited.  He is doing well with his leash waling and will even carry it to the door for you when he knows he is going outside!  What a smart boy!  Grant will do best as the only dog in the house as he becomes very attached to his owner.  He loves to hike the trails with his foster dad and loves the outdoors.  Grant is great home alone for a few hours and also is good in a crate if you are gone for the day at work.  He is a snuggler and would love someone to lay on the couch with.  He loves his people!  He is pretty good with other dogs but he does take a little time to warm up if they are not laid back like his foster brother Cooper is.  Carey Grant takes it slow and easy in determining if a new dog is going to be his buddy.  He will chase cats so let’s not move him in to a house with any.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com
