Story
Meet Grayson! He’s a fun loving 5 month old boxer/lab mix with beautiful coloring and a winning personality! He is shy at initial meetings, but quickly warms up. He and his brother were dumped in a deserted road and left to fend for themselves. Luckily a wonderful and caring person came along and took the boys in and showed them what the love of s family can be like. Grayson is ready to find his forever family! He loves other dogs and would make a great family pet! He loves treats, likes to receive affection, and is the quiet type. He rides well in a vehicle, just hesitant about loading. He needs some leash training and is currently working on house training. But he needs no training in how to give love, or cuddles, and likes to kiss his hooman. He is very sweet, and affectionate. This guy is ready to be your BFF. If you would like to add Grayson to your family please apply below If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adoption-application PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. And has a active personality, so he’d do great with a family willing to take him out into the world to explore. Woodstock He is playful, likes to chase balls, and has energy to hike, run around, and probably go swimming. He is all boy, all puppy, and needs an area to run off that precious energy we all wish we had. Story
Meet Lil' Bit! She’s a adorable 5 yr old Boxer mix. She is completely vetted, and successfully completed heartworm treatment. She weighs approximately 44lbs, is a smaller girl, very playful, but can be a little shy when first meeting. Even though she’s shy, Lil Bit still loves to meet people, especially children. She gets along with both male and female dogs, but no cats, currently. She's just too curious. And Lil Bit is house trained, walks well on a leash, but loves being indoors mostly. Before, she had lived her entire life outside in all types of weather. When She was first found, she was emaciated, and scared. But with the right Veterinarian care, and lots of love and food, she has blossomed into an inquisitive furbaby that will walk by the side of her human, leashed, exploring grassy fields and areas. And she can't live without a warm fleece blanket under her as she naps or sleeps. Lil Bit’s life has been hard in the past...She had been over bred, left outside to fend for herself, and someone had her teeth filed down, as well. There is no telling what she endured, but being in a living foster home for about 6 months, she has been shown so much love! This sweet girl likes to cuddle in bed and lick your face a lot!! She's simply grateful for being loved. Lil Bit is great for families or even an older couple. She doesn't pull on her leash & will sleep in the bed, on the couch, or with an open crate door. But don't forget that thick fleece blanket. This young lady deserves nothing but luxury the rest of her life. If you’d like to help spoil her, please apply below! Story
Meet Miss Dixie.... She is a pup in a pickle too. She and her pal have been steirring things up past the point of resolution. She is a bit dominant over the other dog in her house hold and some pretty wild arguments have started because of it. As there are children in the home, the family is forced to make a very difficult decision to separate them for now. Ultimately to re-home one of the two. The family is going through a very difficult time with this decision, but feel that it is best for them both. Dixie is 8-9 years ld. She has been very well cared for and loved. She has always been on Heartworm prevention, flea and tick prevention and every vaccine that the doctors recommended. She is effervescent, silly as boxers are.... and very loving... She does have one unfortunate Boxer trait; She snores. She also LOVES to eat and could stand to lose a few pounds. She is accustomed to having an electric fence and is happy with it! She has a pretty good prey drive and I'd advise that she is the only pet in the household. Cats are a no- sorry she cannot eat one all by herself.... We are happy to find her the perfect place to land. We are discontinuing any public adoption events for the foreseeable future. If you are interested in adopting one of our friends, please follow the link here: http://littlerhodyrescue.com/adoption-application/ *Filling an application does not guarantee you as the adopter. All applicant's references will be called. PLEASE call your veterinarian and references consent to speaking with us ! We cannot process your application otherwise. Failure will put your application in 'Limbo" We process applications as they arrive. The first approved applicant will be called and the pup taken off of Petfinder. We do not have the man/ woman power to all all other applicants to advise them. IF there s another dog that you are interested in as well, please list at the top of the application and we will enter your application for that pup if the first choice has been adopted. THANK YOU !!! You are giving a first rate dog a second chance....By adopting! ***** SADLY , we need to put this in print: THIS IS A RESCUE DOG. We do NOT know their birthday / age. (unless other wise noted) More often than not, OUR TEAM has saved them from euthanasia in Southern shelters. We do not know any more than our Veterinarians offer to us. We often have them in kennels, and utilize crate training. House training status is often NOT KNOWN. Prior Health, estimated weight (as an adult), breed (Including the parents' breed , size or mix) and some health concerns are NOT KNOWN unless our veterinarians discover it and offer the information to us. Again, these are strays and turn ins from all over the country. They do NOT come with labels; nor guarantees. Characteristics and disposition can and will evolve with time. YOU the adopter are responsible to train and keep up to date on vaccines and preventatives. YOU the adopter are responsible for taking care of this new member of your family.

These pups are in Pawtucket, Rhode Island too!

Story
Nala is a loving two and a half year old Pitbull looking for a new forever home. She's active, loves to cuddle and sleep and will "sit" and "give paw" for a treat. Nala loves having a backyard with room to run around and doesn't mind being alone sometimes to catch up on her sleep while her new family has to work.
