Story
Buster is an approximately 3 yr old orange and white boy who found himself lost with a female black lab. They were taken to the shelter and never claimed. Buster is a very  sweet dog . He has been vaccinated, wormed, and microchipped. Unfortunately he is HW positive and has been started on his doxycycline , prednisone and heartgard. He does have a cough. He is on limited exercise. He acts like he has been a house dog. Has had no accidents and when he goes out, he wants to come right back to door.He actually squats to urinate. He pulls very hard on a leash and with his size he definitely needs a harness. He is good with other dogs. He has not been exposed to cats. 3/5/20: Buster got his heartworm treatment the past two days and so far is doing well. He will be available for adoption in a month. He does not need to have real strenuous activity for a bit. If interested contact settertown@aol.com . Busters adoption fee is 375.00.

Story
Pete is an approximately 2.5 yr old neutered male who was recently acquired to hunt. He ran off when the gun was fired. The owner did not want him . Pete is a very loving sweet dog who is currently shaved. He was updated on his vaccines 12/2, fecal was neg but he is heartworm positive. He was given the pre meds to start. He can not have any strenuous exercise now. 2/17: Pete has undergone his heartworm treatment and is doing well. His exercise is restricted until March 5. He will need another heartworm test in 6 mo. Pete is  a sweet dog and minds well. He is good with other dogs. He is very energetic and will jump on doors. He definitely needs a secure privacy fence or 6 ft chain link. He does come when called. He has been on limited exercise since arrival into his foster home so I know he will be glad when he can really exercise. Pete is crate trained but not totally housebroken. He will jump on things and countersurf.  He is afraid of gunfire but does not seem to be bothered by storms. The vet clinic bragged on how sweet he was when he was there for his heartworm treatment.. For more information contact settertown@aol.com Petes adoption fee is 375.00.

Story
Hello, my name is Jasmine. My   "mom" of 12 and half years had to go into a nursing home and I  was surrendered to NBRAN.  I am housebroken (always lived indoors), spayed, heartworm free and up to date on vaccines. I recently had my teeth cleaned and two upper molars on each side pulled and my ears treated with medicine that works for 6-10 days. I got an At from the vet on Jan 30. (gums healed and ear canals clear). I may be a senior but I am very strong and I don't much like a leash. I have a beautiful Brittany run which I use to check out the big back yard at my foster mom;s house. I do have trouble hearing but it is a little better and I don't see real clearly as I have cataracts. I never get on furniture even if I am invited but I do like a cushy dog bed, one in the living room and one in the bedroom near my person's bed. I sleep all night. I am not crate trained but I do not tear stuff up and do not counter surf. I am respectful of other dogs and love to play chase with my foster mom's grand dog. I don't think I ever met a cat so who knows, but my neighbors very tiny dog became my friend. Jasmine can be very anxious and takes composure pro to cal her down(she paces around a lot when she is anxious). She has a heart murmur left chamber, vision and hearing loss. She isn't concentrating her urine although kidneys appear healthy. She drinks a lot of water and goes out about every 2 to 3 hours. Water is taken up at night and she sleeps 7-8 hr without having to go out. She does not bark very much and runs to the door when she needs to go out. We are working on hand signals for sit command for treats and for leash but not 100% yet, possibly because of hearing loss but hand signals are being given.  She is currently eating homemade dog food and also a cup twice a day of 4 Health for mature dogs obtained at Tractor Supply. She loves the kibble and should not have any trouble going on it for all food. She eats very fast so she may need a slo-bowl. For more information contact settertown@aol.com

Story
Please contact laurel (agilitybrits@epbfi.com) for more information about this pet.Beau is a very special young dog, he came to TN via Texas.  Beau is a champion snuggler and a young puppy at heart. He wants do everything you are doing…. washing clothes? ...He will check the dryer for stray socks.  Washing dishes? …Beau is there doing the pre-wash.  Taking a shower? ...Beau is right there making sure you wash behind your ears.  Going out? …Beau is ready, whether it’s a walk or a ride. Beau wants to be part of it all.  Play time is for stuffed toys, a gentle game of tug-o-war, and a long sniff thru the shrubbery, maybe a bit of digging too.  Nothing too rambunctious for this guy. Gentle hands, patient tones, and a calm home with a good routine are this handsome guy’s style.    After all the work and play he’s ready to cuddle up on the couch for some close snuggles and a bit of a belly rub.  Beau does have some anxiety issues, when he doesn't know what to do, he panic's and starts pacing and panting.  it took sometime to try to figure out what the triggers are.   He does not like to sleep in a crate, he sleeps on a dog bed.   We do feel that he needs another dog in his home, he needs this for support and to show him the way of a good life.  We also feel that he needs a man in his life.   We are not recommending him around small children, if the child is crying or upset that will trigger his anxiety.   The first month of his new life will require patients, it has taken about a month for his true self to come out with his foster.

Story
Well hello there! I’m Britta and I’m 10.5 years old.  I am ½ of an amazing pair of Brittanys and we are looking for our forever home…. TOGETHER.  My sister Becca and I used to live outside all the time but since we’ve lived in foster care we’ve learned to love to be inside and hang with our people.  We like all people...me especially and I will stick by your side, follow you around the house, sit beside you on the couch and snuggle with you in bed. I like to be taken for walks, but I get excited and pull on the leash.  Walks are exciting…what can I say?  I also like toys…stuffies are the best.  I like to unstuff them.  I have a high prey drive so I shouldn’t live with a cat. My sister Becca and I would love a home where it’s just us and our humans.  More love for us.   We are very active for our age and love to run outside.  Don't be fooled by the white in our face...we are young at heart! I used to have nasty heart worms in me, but NBRAN got me all fixed up and they are gone.  I am spayed, up to date on all my vaccinations and overall very healthy.  So if you are looking for aperfect pair of Brittanys to join your family….we are your girls.  We will only go to our new home together…. together forever!  Our adoption fee, as we are seniors, is $200 US each but if you are a senior too it’s $100 US each.  We are located near London, Ontario, Canada but NBRAN can transport us up to 2200 kms or 1400 miles.  If you are interested, please submit an application and our people will get in touch with you.  http://www.nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application For more information about Britta (and Becca) please contact sandratoal18@gmail.com We will NOT consider splitting up this pair. They have been together their entire lives.
