Story
Some of our best and most beautiful kitty friends are black cats, so we’re taking the opportunity to debunk some of the negative myths that have surrounded these gorgeous house panthers over the years. Black cats are viewed as either bad luck or highly auspicious. In North America, some consider it bad luck if a black cat crosses your path. Black cats are sleek, gorgeous animals, but — believe it or not — some people don’t adopt them because they think they aren’t as attractive as kitties with patterned or other-colored fur. Lighting and background are key in order to achieve a stunning photo — but it’s absolutely worth it because black cats are truly stunning and as full of personality as any other cat. For example, Pepper! This handsome boy has been looking for his forever home for much too long. He is sweet and energetic. Pepper loves to play and explore everywhere. He loves to drink from the bathroom water spout! He sometimes so he can get a bit anxious and defensive if he's not in the mood for cuddles. He would be comfortable with a family that has only one other kitty, if they are introduced slowly. Pepper is super sweet and loves to play! Please consider Pepper if you are looking for a new furkid.

Story
Hello there! My name is Delilah, and I'm a very sweet, adorable little gray DSH/ Russian Blue mix gal who was born in June 2018. I'm on the shy side, but if you give me a little TLC, then I will roll on my back for tummy scratches. I may run from you at first, but then I remember, "Oh yeah . . . I love attention!" My favorite nap spot is in the sink on my cozy blanket! I have the sweetest little meow too. My sister Rosalee and I were found as orphan kittens and ended up at a kill shelter. We were really sick there, but fortunately our future foster meowmy spotted us and got us out of there! Now I'm all healthy and ready for my forever home. I still have a little scar on my eye from when I had an eye infection with no medical attention, but -- no worries -- I'm just fine, and it doesn't slow me down. Although Rosalee and I are available separately, we think it'd be the cat's meow if we were adopted together. Plus we could keep each other company while you're at work, school, or on vacation. We're both a little on the shy side, so we need someone with patience and love. So, if you want an adorable kitty and can be patient with me, I'll reward you with lots of love and affection! Won't you give me a chance . . . and think about adopting Rosalee too! Delilah is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. Her adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Delilah, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet her. To adopt one of our cats, you must fill out our adoption application and be approved by one of our adoption counselors. To make the process more efficient, submit the online cat adoption application at https://www.bustersfriends.org/cat-adoption-application.

Story
My name is Sebastian, and I'm one of the most awesome black DSH/ Bombay mix kitties you'll ever meet! I was born in April 2019, so I'm still a kitten having fun. I have a shiny patent-leather coat and copper penny eyes. Bombay mixes are often called Velcro kitties because they get attached to their humans, and I'm no exception. I'm a purr machine and LOVE to be in my foster meowmy's lap soaking up all of the attention she can give me! I get along with the other kitties as well as resident small doggies in my foster home. I love playing with them all, including my foster meowmy! I was found as a stray and ended up at the shelter, but my life is good now while I wait to find my forever home. Arrange to meet me so we can spend the holidays together. Please don't be superstitious of black cats! You know, Groucho Marx once said, 'A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere.' Buster's Friends makes a concerted effort to rescue black cats and kittens from shelters because they are five times more likely to be euthanized than any other color of cat. However, many people who have had a black or Bombay mix cat before end up adopting another one because they seem to have such wonderful personalities and are emotionally stable and well balanced. Sebastian is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. His adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Sebastian, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet him. To adopt one of our cats, you must fill out our adoption application and be approved by one of our adoption counselors. Story
Hi! My name is Charlie, and I'm a handsome, sleek black DSH/ Bombay mix guy with a shiny patent-leather coat and copper penny eyes who was born in April 2019. Bombay mixes are often called Velcro kitties because they get so attached to their humans, and I'm definitely no exception. I'm a lap cat extraordinaire and hop up in my foster meowmy's lap the second she sits down. I just love attention! My sister (named Sister) and I ended up as orphan kittens at a shelter when we were just a couple of months old. We were really scared, but luckily our future foster meowmy got us out of there! We thought we had found our perfect home, but our new family turned out to be allergic to us. Sadly we have to search again for the new perfect home! We are both great kitties! Although we're available separately, we think it would be the cat's meow if we could stay together. We could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation. Nevertheless, I get along with the little resident dogs and other cats in my foster home, so it's fine if I'm adopted separately because I'd be a perfect kitty for any household menagerie! So arrange to meet me today so I can jump up in YOUR lap! Please don't be superstitious of black cats! Buster's Friends makes a concerted effort to rescue black cats and kittens from shelters because they are five times more likely to be euthanized than any other color of cat. Charlie is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted.
