Story
Please meet Missy (FCID# 09/12/2019 - 60)!  This pretty calico came through our door already spayed, no microchip.  Missy may look like a grump, but we swear she's a friendly girl! She's just got that kinda face.  Missy is a big (18 lbs!) calico girl in need of a fur-ever home where she has lots of room to move around and get some exercise. She is on a diet and exercise regimen here at the center and is doing well. Missy loves to play and chase toys - she loves when the wand goes under the door, chat with the volunteers, as well as nap on her favorite spot on the cat tree.    Our volunteers say that she is sassy and loves chin scratches but isn't the biggest fan of other cats and kittens. Do you have room in your heart for the love she has to give?  She sure would love to have you visit her.   Please submit a no-obligation application for a meet and greet and possibly to adopt Missy:  http://www.forgottencats.org/application.php, or to foster Missy:  https://forgottencats.org/foster-a-cat/.   Thank you! (Foster:  Adam M.)

Meet Pandora….an easy-going and smart calico who will make you smile with love and pride every-time you look at her. Pandora is estimated to be 1-2 years old and she is full of love and energy. A lover of people and companionship, Pandora wants to be where the action is. She loves to follow her foster parents around the house and check out what they are up to. Pandora loves to play with her toys and when she wants you to join, she will give you a light tap on the ankle. Her favorite toy is a mouse that chirps. Ever the conversationalist, Pandora loves to talk to her foster parents with a whisper-soft meow that draws you in for snuggles that are sure to follow.  When she is taking a break from playtime, she loves to sit on the window perch in the enclosed patio and watch the wildlife go by. Pandora gets along well with other cats and since she is very playful, will do well in a household with another energetic cat. Though she has not been around dogs in her foster home, she is so easy-going that her foster family believes she would do well with one. Pandora has not been around children.  She is litterbox trained, FeLV/FIV negative, spayed and up to date on her shots.  (Please submit a no-obligation adoption application to meet this patchwork calico beauty:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/. Thank you!  Foster:  Leslie and Lonny L.)

Story
Atina (FCID# 12/19/2019- 60 Trainer)“Please take me with you – I want to be your cuddle-cat!” says sweet Atina (FCID# 12/19/2019 - 60).  You’ll love her as soon as you see her unique calico markings – pretty and sweet – what more could her human ask for! She loves to be petted.  Think of the pawsibilities if Atina becomes your fortunate furry furrever furend! Atina has been playing and helping at her foster's home.  Here is an update:  There's a lot to love with this sweet girl!  She's not small (about 16 pounds).  But also, she is very lovable.  She is social and wants to chill out in the same room as her humans.  She's an ideal work at home companion; she sleeps next to my desk all day and (almost) never walks on the keyboard of my laptop.  She loves to be brushed and will play with toys for a short time.  While she isn't a lap cat, she wants to be right next to you.  We don't have children or other pets in the house, so I don't know how she would handle a more active household.  But she's been a great addition to a quiet house while we are sheltering in place.   Atina came through our doors with an unregistered microchip.  You can input YOUR information when you adopt her.  Here is a link to our no-obligation adoption application:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Atina is playing at her new foster's home.  Thank you!  (Foster:  Julie N.)

Story
Please meet Pearl (FCID# 08/27/2019 - 110)!   This gorgeous Calico girl was found on the streets after recently giving birth to 5 beautiful babies alone in a community cat shelter. She moved into her present foster home when her kittens were about 3 weeks old (late July). She was an incredible, loving mama to her babies, all of whom have since been adopted. Pearl is kind of shy and prefers not to be picked up. Once she warms up to you, she is a purring bundle of sassy sweetness. She craves attention, string toys, and chin scratches. And she is the absolute queen of head butts! Pearl is slowly coming out of her shell and has become a purrfect gem. Her estimated age is between 1-2 years years old, and she is really enjoying getting to be a “kitten” again. Pearl adores every cat she meets, particularly the young fosters. She is looking for a home with another young, playful cat or kitten but NO dogs, please. She has been around my 16 mo granddaughter under supervision, but I believe Pearl would prefer a quiet home with older children or none. She is not a fan of loud noises.  Please open up your heart to this very deserving lady. She is located in Horsham, PA and her foster mama, Lisa welcomes any questions at heinzmal@einstein.edu. Thank you! Do you think that Pearl would be a purrfect addition to your family?  Please submit a no-obligation adoption application to meet her:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Thank you!  (Foster:  Lisa H.)

Story
Whisper (FCID# 08/13/2019 - 166) is a pretty, dark calico, as sweet, gentle and soft as, yes, a whisper. She is small, too, only 6.6 pounds.  Whisper was saved by a wonderfully caring and persistent gentleman who went way above and beyond to help her and her kitten. She was still nursing a kitten and was also pregnant, trying to survive in a rough area with nobody to care for them. They arrived malnourished, dirty and very frightened. Her teeth were rotten and all but a few were pulled. Our vet also aged her at 8+. Imagine the struggles she has had and still giving birth at 8 years of age! She has recovered and is now ready for the home she has always deserved to have. Whisper gets along with other cats and is slowly getting used to calm dogs. She is so precious, words are not enough.  Whisper is playing at her foster's hone with Monica (FCID# 08/23/2019 - 115) and Angie (FCID# 01/02/2020 - 156) .  Would you like to offer Whisper home?  Please submit a no-obligation adoption application to meet her:  http://www.forgottencats.org/application.php.  Thank you!  (Foster:  Tracey V.)

Story
This new friend has just arrived! They have come to us either as a transfer from another shelter, being found as a stray, or have been surrendered to us by their owner. When our friends are new to us, we are typically unsure of their full background, litter box habits, comfort with handling, or experience with other pets or children. Our staff will spend some time reviewing any information provided by previous owners and spend some time with our new friend so that we can better update their biography. This cat has tested positive for FIV, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. Many cats with FIV can live a long and happy lifespan if kept indoors and given routine veterinary care. FIV is not contagious to people or animals other than cats. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
ABOUT PIXIE Meet Pixie, our sweet three-year-old calico lady! This beauty was brought to HAP from a high-intake shelter. When she arrived, she was very pregnant, so we sent her straight to one of our rockstar fosters. They made sure she had a safe and cozy place to give birth. She's been an amazing mother, but now it's time for her to find a forever home where she can live it up! Pixie is a super sweet girl, her favorite thing in the world is to get some snuggles! She enjoys curling up in a sunny spot to get a quick snooze in, almost as much as she enjoys a treat! She isn't the biggest player, she's definitely more of a lover girl, but she's been known to bat a toy mouse around. **Pixie is not a fan of other cats. But we also think she'd do well with a calm dog and children.
