Story
This is Cleopatra! This sweet, affectionate girl was dumped at a feral cat colony. Fortunately, she was found by her foster and is safe. She is about 1-2 years old. She loves to be held. Cleopatra gets along with other cats but sometimes they bully her. Cleopatra would make a wonderful addition to any family! PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Apply for a CAT: www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adopt-a-city-kitty.html City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR&CK has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR&CK. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia vaccines. They are tested for FIV and FeLV. Most cats and dogs will have a house training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained. We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs. ##564426##

Story
Hi, I am a 13 year old calico in great health looking for a home where I can snuggle on humans constantly and get lots of attention. My current family is moving away and is looking for a safe loving home for me. I am great with kids, patient and gentle, but I don't love other cats. I spend lots of time sleeping and prefer sitting on and with humans at all times.

Story
Our sweet and socialable cat needs a new home. He has been neutered, has no health issues, and still has all claws. He is 13 years old, tiny (8 or 9 pounds), pretty cute (see picture), and extremely friendly. In 13 years he hasn’t once used his claws to scratch a person (and we have a 2 year old and a 5 year old...). With regular brushing, he has no hair balls and with regular claw cutting he doesn’t scratch anything except his scratching post and the entry way floor mats. Our 5 year old daughter has developed a strong allergy to the cat (all of us have an allergy to him to some degree), and he deserves more attention and playtime than we are able to give him.
