Story
Sweet Sarah - this beautiful girl is looking for a home where she can be showered with love. She's a quiet, calm girl and although strikingly beautiful, isn't one to run to visitors so we fear she will be overlooked. Please consider her - she's such a lovely girl. She does fine with other cats and seems to not be bothered by dogs. Due to her quiet nature, older children would be best for her. DOB Sept/2017

Story
Our sweet gal Brooke came to us in late July of 2019, pregnant and ready to give birth within days. Resting comfortably with a foster family, she gave birth to six beautiful kittens. To our shock and utter disbelief, when we took Brooke in for a check-up, our vet determined her to be somewhere between 8 and 10 years of age (DOB approx. 7/2010) and, missing a few teeth. Yes, this sweet older gal had just given birth to six kittens and who knows how many litters in her lifetime before coming to us. Brooke has been spayed and has had some additional teeth removed and is now doing fabulously. Quite the life our Ms. Brooke has lead but no more sweetheart, your birthing days are over and it's now time for you to settle in with a family of your very own. Brooke does okay with other cats but tends to stay to herself. What we'd ideally like for Brooke is for her to find a nice quiet home where she can spend her remaining days relaxing and taking in the sights of the outside world from an inside view. A lap to curl up on. A gentle hand to stroke her head and assure her that she is loved beyond measure. If you think Brooke might be a good match for you, please come in for a visit. We know that Brooke would be delighted to meet you.

Story
Rin came to GGOH from a private rescuer in Minnesota when she reached out for a little help. Rin was a stray so we have no previous history on her. DOB is approximately 1/1/2019. Rin has a quieter, shy personality; with the right home, she will be a great companion. She loves to play and snuggle with other cats, is active and healthy. The pictures here make her look bigger than she actually is; she more on the smaller side in comparison to other cats her age. She has a beautiful dilute calico coat that she keeps neat and clean. We have not directly introduced Rin to dogs, but she has been in the room as they've walked by and she paid no attention to them whatsoever. Our guess is that in a home environment, she will likely act the same and over time, perhaps even become best buds with them. To meet Rin, stop by our adoption facility any time during regular visiting hours.

Story
Our precious girl Marley is looking for a home to call her own; one without the stressors of other cats or dogs that are nosy and active. You see, Marley has had a bit of a rough life and she really needs a nice, calm home to spend the rest of her days in. Marley was surrendered at the age of 8 by her owner to a shelter in northern Minnesota. That rescue wasn't equipped to keep Marley for the long-term and therefore, reached out to us for help. We couldn't say, "no". Marley has what our veterinarians believes is arthritis in her spine. She was completely declawed in her earlier years and they believe that the pain associated with that declawing caused her to walk in ways which didn't hurt her feet, but ultimately caused her pain in the long run in her spine. She was also allowed to put on weight (she's upwards of 14 lbs) which didn't help her situation, either. Marley is currently on Gabapentin to help with the pain of the arthritis and she's kept on a non-prescription urinary food as a preventative. She walks slowly and purposefully. She does not like other cats in her space and will vocally tell them so. She loves human attention and would be quite content to just lay in the sun near you or settle on your lap. Even though the arthritis is in her spine, she still loves to be petted and stroked down her back. Our recommendation is that Marley go to a home without any other pets or at least one that has older pets that will not pester her. Children are fine as long as they can understand that Marley has some limitations and they need to be respectful of her situation. Marley's DOB is approx. 3/1/2011. If you think you might have the perfect home and lifestyle that Marley requires, please stop in to meet her. We think you will be pleasantly surprised by just how sweet and affectionate this senior gal is.

Story
Sven is a very loving cat but takes a long time to warm up to people. He would do best in a home with other cats as he loves to snuggle and play with other cats. Once he gets used to you he loves to get attention and love. He is scared of fast movements so would not do well with small kids. He was born in a hoarder home and rescued to a humane society. We adopted him a few years ago and he is a great cat but due to allergies we must rehome our cats. He is front declawed and neutered.
