Calli adopted her two humans when she was a kitten three years ago. Both of her humans were elderly, and one of them was in a wheelchair for the past two years. Both of her humans have passed away. Two new humans whisked her away from her home to a new one that already had three other cats and a ferret.

Charlotte is a rescue cat. Moved as a roommate into a home and a couple months later she started coming by. Its believed she lived under the house. I moved and brought her with me to be an indoor cat as she couldn't come in before. She is very friendly and when she gets happy to see me come back inside she lays somewhat close in front and goes on her back to have her head upside down. She constantly purrs and walks with her tail in the air to signify she doesn't mean any harm. The only problem is sometimes she has this problem pooping next to a mat that her kitty litter is on. From the kitty litter entrance and the corner theres slight room but i wouldve preferred her on the mat but she always has it on the corner when she does go outside her litter box. Idk why.

I Got Knatalie from a family who was neglectful to her. I took her and had her spayed and brought her to my home. She gets along with all my cats except my older male. They fuss and fight and I think it’s out of jealousy for me or my husband. She’s very smart and notices I spend more time with him because he’s older. She’s about 3 years old and it’s been a year and their relationship hasn’t gotten any better.. so I don’t want my older cat to be stressed, anxious in his golden years so I need a home where maybe she’s the only cat. But she does get along ok with my other cats just not him. I’ve tried many resources and now I’m turning here. It breaks my heart to have to rehome her but it’s come to it. Pleas would a loving family or person reach out and be interested in her!!!

The City of Hernando Animal Shelter provides shelter and care for Hernando's homeless pets. We screen potential adopters to find the best fit for each dog or cat who comes into our care. Each cat is tested for FIV/FeLV and each dog is tested for heartworms. All animals are vaccinated and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. We are officially a no-kill animal shelter. Currently, our adoption fees for dogs and puppies is $75 and our adoption fees for kittens and cats is $50.00.
