I have had Eddie since he was only 3 weeks old. I found him on Craigslist after some people had posted that they rescued a litter of kittens who's mom had abandoned them. He's been a wonderful little buddy to have but I now have a baby at home and unfortunately we are surrounded by a wooded area that is loaded with ticks and Eddie is bringing them into the house on a daily basis. I'm concerned for the safety and health of my baby which has brought me to the difficult decision to find a new home for my beloved buddy. He's about 9 years old. He's great with other animals (and a great hunter if you have mice around you!). I'm looking for a home that allows him to both be outdoors and roam as well as have a warm place to sleep and snuggle inside when he wants to. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have! I'd really like for him to go to a good home so I ask that you please only inquire if you are seriously interested and plan to give him a long-term home. Thank you.

Sansa likes to spend her time napping in cat beds, chasing around catnip toys and hanging out with her feline friends in our visiting room area. She is a shy cat and socializing with people makes her nervous, but if you go slowly she will let you pet her...especially if you come to her with treats! Story
Ichabod came to the shelter as a supposed stray cat a few days before Halloween. He seemed to be very frightened and testy with the staff upon arrival, but has since settled in to the shelter routines. Ichabod is 1-2 years old, and is now neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. He is already coming around and understanding that the staff only wants to take care of him. He LOVES catnip and will roll in it for hours, and hops around chasing toys and the laser pointer. Ichabod also is very talkative and loves the positive attention he is getting. He does like to "poke" people, so we think he will be happiest in a home without young children. If you are interested in giving this beautiful boy a home, please fill out an adoption application!

I am a shy cat that was found living outdoors in a feral cat colony with my best feline friend Rhonda. I have adjusted to living indoors, but I am still very shy around people. I love hanging out with other cats and spend a lot of time on the enclosed cat porch here at the shelter. I will need a quiet home where I can live an independent life, and I would be very happy if I could be adopted with Rhonda so we can be together forever. I have been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. If you are interested in finding out more about me please contact the Humane Society or stop by and ask about me.
