Story
We have had Mirax since she was a kitten. She was born around July, 2011. We love her dearly but do not have the time right now to give her the attention that she needs. She had bladder stones last year and had surgery to remove them. She is on a special diet at the moment to keep them from coming back. She is very sweet and can be a typical shy kitty when meeting someone new.

Story
We got Little Bit when she was around a month old in 2011 along with her cousin, Mirax. Little Bit is the spunky one and tends to be the more curious of the two. She will follow you around and talk to you. Little Bit is what we started calling her and it stuck because of her big round kitten eyes that are usually looking to play or explore. She is a sweetheart.

Story
We got Mirax along with her cousin Little Bit when they were close to a month old in 2011. They look for each other when one has been in another room to long. Between the two kitties, Mirax can be a little shy and act more like a typical "cat". She warms up though and loves to be petted. This past year she had bladder stones and went through a procedure to get rid of them. She is now on a special diet to help prevent further stones.

Story
I adopted this sweet kitty several months ago, she initially was part of a home with several other dogs/cats but her first owners ended up abandoning her and she was left alone in an empty house for an unknown amount of time. An aquaintance of that initial owner took her in, but couldn't keep her long-term. Unfortunately, my housing and financial situation means that it is no longer ethical of me to keep owning her. She is a polite kitty, very food motivated and not a picky eater but typically is uninterested in human food. She loves playing with strings/feathers and knows to use scratching posts, not furniture and can typically be told a firm "No" to have her stop undesired behavior. Peach is sweet, cuddly, loves to be pet, but dislikes being groomed with a brush currently. She's a cat who will warn with meows first if you're giving her too much attention before attempting to nip/scratch. She needs someone who can take care of her, and give her the life she deserves.

Story
This is Cleopatra! This sweet, affectionate girl was dumped at a feral cat colony. Fortunately, she was found by her foster and is safe. She is about 1-2 years old. She loves to be held. Cleopatra gets along with other cats but sometimes they bully her. Cleopatra would make a wonderful addition to any family! PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Story
Hello, I’m Jasmine. I’ve been waiting for my forever home since March 2015. I am Big, Beautiful, Large and In Charge! Once you know me, you’ll fall in love. Despite my size, I am very shy and a bit fearful of new people. When we first meet, I may growl or hiss. It’s all bluster. Once I warm up to you, I’m very friendly. Some say I’m grumpy or even mean. Nonsense; I’m HUNGRY! The way to my heart is through my stomach. When I’m not hungry, I’m a purring bundle of love. I am not a good self feeder, I’ll eat everything put down all at once. To make me happy, feed me small portions several times a day. That way, I’ll be ready to have my ears, neck and chest rubbed. Be careful rubbing my tail area, that’s not my favorite. When you scratch my ears just right, you’re in for a foot stomping good time! I like having “me” time. If you see a twitchy tail, please give me my space. Also, I have been around other cats, but I don’t care for them. I would love for you to be my new human. I have a lot of love to give, so please give me the chance to show you. Update: Considering Jasmine's weight we would recommend her to be on a grain free canned food diet for the rest of her life. Currently Jasmine is eating Purina Pro Plan grain free canned food.Location: Temporary foster home. Story
I am the sweetest, kindest kitty! I have been waiting for my forever homes since 2016 because It takes me a while to warm up to new people, but once I do, I am a nonstop purr factory of sweetness and love! I would love to have a home where I can snuggle with my human and take naps with them. I love affection and being petted. I am very polite and I never ever growl, or bite or swipe at a person. I can't wait for my human to find me and take me home. Cat Corner has a lot of cats and a lot of people around and it makes me nervous to meet new people here, but I promise if you take me home I will make the best sweetest kitty!Location: The Cat Corner (no-kill shelter)85 Fulton StreetHampton, Va. Story
I’m Mila and I am a beautiful Tortise colored lady. I came to the CC to have 4 precious kittens and now I’m waiting for the right person to give me a purrever home. I am very shy and it will take patience and love to win my trust. Once you do, you will be rewarded with purrs and playfulness. I love chasing a laser pointer and batting around stuffed mice. I will contentedly sit in your lap for ear scratches and especially tummy rubs. I can entertain myself for hours and would prefer a quiet home. I promise if you take your time with me, I will be your purrfect companion. Location: Temporary foster home.
