Marmalade, 4yrs, Female, Presa Canario/ Cane Corso X, Gray Brindle w/ fawn base, 100# True the the guardian breed in her, Beautiful Marmalade is suspicious of strangers and loyal and loving to her humans. Once she knows you she is your best friend. She loves to run and daily exercise is a must. Marmalade needs a home with a 6 foot privacy fence to keep her safe and call her own. Marmalade enjoys the company of well behaved kids and has previously lived with cats. She aims to please and is great on her basic obedience. She has great house manners and she is crate trained. Marmalade was initially placed in a home when she was around a year old. For a year she lived happily with the other dog in the home. Then her owners brought home a third dag (a Great Dane), where intros were not done correctly and the 3 dogs did not get along. Instead of reaching out for help, they allowed the dogs to fight it out. Which of course is a very dangerous mindset or belief to have. Eventually there was a final fight that left the original dog severely injured (she recovered) and needing to be hospitalized and Marmalade mentally broken and once again without a home. Unfortunately, the lasting psychological damage has left a deep wound in Marmalade's psyche and she is now very fearful of other dogs in close proximity. Meaning she is not comfortable once another dog enters her personal space and goes on the defensive. It is possible that time may still heal those psychological scars, but as of a year out form those events, that has yet to happen. Due to these circumstances, Marmalade must be the only dog in the home. A home with Guardian Breed experience is preferred. Marmalade's adoption fee is $450.00 and she is up to date on and fully vetted. Adopter must be local (within 50 miles) to the Saint Louis, MO metropolitan area. Interested adopters must submit an application through our website, steppingstonebully.org to be considered.

Bishop, 4yrs, Male, Cane Corso mix, blue brindle, 70lbs Bishop is a very regal kind of guy who adores his humans. He is the type of dog that can see into your soul, so if you have bad intentions you are best to steer clear. Bishop is a happy pup who enjoys doing what his humans are doing. Want to go for a run or hike? Bishop is down. Want to curl up and cuddle with a good movie? Bishop is down. Want to go on a road trip? Bishop is down. Bishop does well with medium and up even tempered well balanced dogs. Small dogs and cats are a no go for him. Bishop needs a yard with a 6 foot privacy fence to keep him safe. Though he is smaller in stature than a full blooded Corso, his personality is all Corso. Bishop will be protective of his home and people and needs a structured home with prior guardian breed experience. Bishop has good house manners and is crate trained. Though he has been around a small child in his foster home, due to his protective nature he would do best in a home with older or no kids. Bishop is a local Saint Charles County, MO metro area only adoption. Bishops adoption fee is 350.00 and he is fully vetted. Duke, 6yrs, Male, Cane Corso, Brindle, 150# Duke is an amazing boy, but he is all Corso. Only homes with guardian breed experience will be considered for adoption. True to his breed, He is protective of his home and people. Loyal to a fault, he loves his humans. Though he loves kids, due to some resource guarding behavior, he needs a home without young children. Duke is very good on his basic obedience and he is crate trained. He does well with other even temperament dogs and is generally pretty easy going guy. He would be best in a home with no small dogs or cats. His adoptive home must have a 6 foot privacy fence, to keep him safe. And must be (within 50 miles) local to the Saint Louis metropolitan area. Shiva, 3yrs, Male, Cane Corso, Black, 100lbs Shiva is an amazing boy who absolutely loves other animals. He is always happy to make a new furry friend, he doesn't care if they are big or small or a feline or canine. He loves running in the yard and working on his obedience. Shiva came to us in the Summer at a year old, he had already been in two homes since leaving the breeder and got the ultimate shaft of also being heartworm positive. He had an absolute distrust of humans and a complete lack of confidence in himself. There was no way we were going to let him fall through the cracks, we knew one more bad hand would have been easily it for him. Fast forward to today, Shiva is heartworm negative and has gained so much confidence in himself. He has learned that not all humans are bad and he thrives in his structure based foster home. He aims to please his humans and is always eager to learn more. Shiva is still sometimes unsure with new people, but warms up quickly. Shiva is crate trained and has good house manners. Though Shiva lived with kids in his first home and lives with a 1yr old in his foster home, he needs to be placed in a home with no young children. This is based off incidents that happened in his second home. Shiva needs a home with Guardian breed/ Corso experience and that is local to the Saint Louis metro area. Shiva is fully vetted and his adoption fee is 450.00. interested adopters need to submit an adoption application through our website, steppingstonebully.org.
