Story
Rescue Story: I came to Zoe’s as a wee kitten. I was adopted and returned after 2 years through no fault of my own. I’ve been by my sisters side this whole time. Date of Birth: June 2016 Energy Level: Medium Size (adult): Medium Good with Dogs? Yes Think ok – I was friendly with dogs when I was a kitten but haven’t been around any lately Good with Cats? Yes Eh some cats I like, others... not so much. But I do love my sister Wednesday and must be adopted with her. Good with Kids? Yes Especially if gentle. Critter Twitter: Meow to you! My name is Merlina, or Mermaid. My foster mom gave me that stupid nickname. I’m a sweet girl who like to chill, be where you are, get pets and hang out with my sister Miss Wednesday. We like to curl up in a ball together and are pretty much the cutest. My foster mom says that me and my sister have short little hobbit bodies. How rude. I like to climb and explore and bird watch and look out windows. I’m very affectionate but I’m the more independent women of this twosome. About my Behaviour: The foster kittens here are tolerable but me and my sis kind of bully the other adult cats. They looked at me funny and had it coming. So anyways, please adopt me and my sis Wednesday. How’s my Health? Healthy, vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.

Story
Rescue Story: I wasn't wanted by my original owners so I came into care with Zoe’s and won the award of “longest in care” when I was adopted after 610 days! Sadly, I was returned 9 months later, so I still need to find a forever home. Date of Birth: 2009 Energy Level: Medium Size (adult): Large (I'm a bit overweight right now, yes.. again... but I'm on a diet!) Good with Dogs? No Good with Cats? No Good with Kids? No Critter Twitter: I had a rough start in life, but now that I am in foster care, I am just the happiest guy. I love naps and windows and to be brushed and petted. And I really, really love catnip pillows. They are just the best! My nose gets all wrinkly when I show the pillow who is boss! My purr is very loud and I enjoy being kissed on the forehead. I just want to be loved. Look at my gorgeous markings? How can you resist me? #orangeboy #sweetheart About my Behaviour: I would do best in a calm home with no kids and as an only pet. Most of the time I just love to be in the same room as my people, but if it’s been a while since I’ve seen them, I crawl right up on them and give them the biggest cuddles and head bumps and snuggle in for a rest. I do get lonely and cry sometimes if I can hear my people but can’t get to them for some reason. I currently have two large (i'm not fat anymore but still a big boy) litter boxes that are cleaned daily and this makes me very happy. How’s my Health? I am neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. I was in remission from diabetes, but had a relapse when I was taken off my diet and became grossly overweight again. I am now in remission again, yay, but it is imperative that I continue my diabetic diet and never get overweight again. I am a long-term in care/special needs kitty, as such my adoption fee is, whatever you wish to donate to help cover the cost of my vet bills while I was in care.

Story
Rescue Story: I was surrendered with my mama when my owner no longer had housing. Date of Birth: October 2016 Energy Level: Medium Size (adult): Medium Good with Dogs? Unknown Probably only with very calm dogs, if any. Good with Cats? Unknown 'm not a big fan. Perhaps an older, lazy cat would be okay with very slow introductions. Good with Kids? Unknown Only if they are okay with me not being picked up Critter Twitter: I'm Minou and I look like a sleek Egyptian queen! I like to play but my babies are so active, that I tend to sit back and watch rather than getting in on the action. #queen #beauty About my Behaviour: I'm hesitant in new situations and will growl when I get scared (to show everyone that I'm boss) but I'm really as sweet as can be. I love to rub up against human legs and get head and neck scritches. I do not like to be picked up because that is scary, so I will squirm until you put me down. I will sit next to you and purr wildly if you pet me. I love sitting in open windows and sniffing the fresh air, but will growl at the neighbours if I see them. Consider me your watchdog-cat! Oh and the more catnip you are willing to provide, the more I will love you! How’s my Health? I am spayed, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated.

Story
Rescue Story: I was living outdoors until a nice lady took me in before the cold weather. Now I am looking for a forever home! Date of Birth: 2 years old Energy Level: Medium Size (adult): Large Good with Dogs? No I hiss at the resident dog in my current home, causing them to chase me. We do not like each other. Good with Cats? Yes I am selective & the resident cats in my home pick on me so I would need a home with maybe one other cat Good with Kids? Unknown Critter Twitter: Hello, i'm the sweet & cuddly boy known as Cheddar! I love getting all the love and attention in a home, so prepare for me to be ALL OVER YOU! I am still a young boy and enjoy playing so please make time to play with me. Prepare for my purrs & cuddles - I am all fluff & ready to be your new netflix cuddle partner! About my Behaviour: I would do best in a home with no dogs & either no cats or maybe 1 other cat. I am picked on in my current home by the resident pets so I would be okay on my own if you can give me a lot of love. Although I love going outdoors, I would only be adopted to a home that would keep me indoors or would have me on a harness and leash or in an enclosure. How’s my Health? I am neutered but we are uncertain as to my vaccination records. As I am a courtesy post an adoption fee of $170 still applies.

Rescue Story: I was in a home where though I was loved, it was very rundown and I had some health issues, so the owner surrendered me to Zoe's. Date of Birth: December 2010 Energy Level: Low Size (adult): Medium Good with Dogs? Unknown Never been around any so not sure but probably not, when you enjoy being the only child it is hard to enjoy sharing. Good with Cats? Unknown Never been around any so not sure but probably not, when you enjoy being the only child it is hard to enjoy sharing. Good with Kids? Unknown No young kids please, I really just prefer a quiet retirement. Critter Twitter: I am a shy girl who just wants a retirement home. One that is quiet, and relaxed. Basically I am the perfect cat for someone who really wants to "rescue", a cat who others will say that I am too old, or not cuddly enough, or not a fan of other animals or kids. And the "c" word is scary. But it is a cat-like me, who will show you what true love is. It might not be all "LOVE ME!" but it is a suttle mutual respect that tends to form the greatest love of all. #sweetoldgirl About my Behaviour: I need a calm, very relaxing retirement home. One who has Netflix or likes to read books, and who can put a nice soft pillow beside them for me to sleep the day away on. How’s my Health? I am spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and dewormed. I did have cancer tumour removed from my ear, but the vet said it was good margins and very unlikely to return.

Rescue Story: I came to Zoe's with my kittens when we urgently needed care, now my babies are old enough to find forever homes and so am I. Date of Birth: June 2018 Energy Level: Medium Size (adult): Medium Good with Dogs? No I'm a fighter, I had to survive the streets so though I love people, my foster fears I might be too hardcore for dogs. Good with Cats? No I'm a solo kitty, and the perfect cat for someone who just wants one. Good with Kids? Yes Especially if gentle. I have met many of all ages and loved them all. Critter Twitter: I put a spell on you, and now you are mine! I am no child of Salem, I am a mother, a born fighter but now in a loving foster home I am becoming more affectionate. In fact, I LOVE being petted, and in time I might even become a lap cat in time. Right now too busy putting a hex on the resident cat. Cause I smell cat and I dont like it! #fightertolover About my Behaviour: I had to survive the harsh streets and because of that I am always a bit on edge. Calming circle doesnt work on me. Especially when it comes to loud noises or other animals. I smell cat! And I am not happy. Dogs haha I am far more powerful then they! I would require a home with no other pets and one that isn't loud. But I would be perfect cat for the one who loves a one and only pet. How’s my Health? I am spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and dewormed.
