Story
Hello there my name is Pocahontas! I am a very sweet soul seeking my forever companion. My journey has taken me through many challenges and colors of the wind leading me here to find my forever home. At a mere 8-months old, I have been diagnosed with cystitis - meaning I will need a low stress life and a proper diet to maintain my urinary health. One thing's for sure though, the water is always changing and you cant step in the same river twice. Grandmother Willow always says listen to your heart, and mine has really started to open up to world filled with love, purrs and affection. My confidence is growing everyday and I am looking for a family to help me along this journey to really help me flourish. I adore gazing out the window and exploring new places and the beauty life has to offer me. My favorite things are comfy beds, jingle toys, cuddles, and delicious wet food. Perhaps you're seeking a new adventure yourself? It'll be a dream come true to be a part of that with you. If I sound like your purr-fect fit call the East Kootenay Branch set up a time to come meet me!In order to protect the health of our staff, volunteers and members of the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, we've made changes to our adoption process.1. Story
Four-year-old Foxy is a beautiful girl who is hoping to find her forever home. Miss Foxy has been surrendered to the shelter 3 times now due to lack of management for her cystitis. Cystitis is a condition that causes inflammation in the bladder; this condition can be managed by diet. Foxy will have to stay on a urinary food for the rest of her life. When she is not consistently on her diet, it can not only result in inappropriate urination, but extreme pain for her. Because Foxy's diet has been mismanaged in the past, we are asking for her forever guardian to be committed to Foxy's well-being. This sweet girl loves cuddles and people. She also enjoys sleeping in the sun and playing with all of her human friends. She will do best in a home where she is the only cat due to her condition. Miss Foxy did not ask for this condition and deserves a forever home that will take good care of her for the rest of her life. She deserves a pain-free life and a home to call her own. In order to protect the health of our staff, volunteers and members of the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, we've made changes to our adoption process.1. Story
He's got rhythm, hes got soul. Catrick Swayze is full of moves to win over your heart and keep you entertained. As a very handsome 2-year-old long haired dude, his looks are top notch but his personality takes the cake on reasons to look to him for adoption. With his fancy feet, Catrick will sweep you off your feet and lift you to the highest heights, promising to be yours forever. He is determined to always do what is right for his love, his darling (YOU!) following you wherever you may need him. In return for his enduring love, Catrick will require a low-stress home that will keep him on special diet to help maintain his health. Unfortunately, Catrick was being beaten up by the cats in his previous home and was surrendered due peeing outside his litter box. His urinalysis told his he had become completely blocked and couldn't pee. a very painful condition. Since his recovery his foster reports perfect litter box usage and top scores on cuddling, including wanting to snuggle nice and close while you sleep (even sharing your pillow). If you've been searching for a soulful sweetie Catrick Swayze may just be your purrfect match. Muffin came to us because her owner was extremely sick and could no longer look after her. Muffin was very attached to her owner and has had a hard time adjusting to the shelter, but is coming around nicely. She would be happiest with access to the outside.

Story
I'm a beautiful 1 1/2 year old short hair Tuxedo spayed female. I came into the shelter as a kitten from a Mom that sacrificed everything to keep us safe. I can't believe I still here waiting to be adopted. I like hanging out with the other cats, so I'm amenable to others that might keep you company. I know we could get along , I like good company, good food and sunbeams. You should check me out!

I'm April, a orange and white domestic shorthair. I'm approximately 4 years old. I am a vocal girl that loves the company of people. I don't like to hang out the other cats much. I would love to be your companion, come down to the shelter and meet me!
