Jack and Maddie are ready for a permanent home, they are a bonded pair that have lived together for 10 years. They have blossomed into sweet, curious, playful cats while in a long foster home care where they acclimated to new people and new situations, and are currently waiting at the Lompoc shelter for a new peron or family to fall for their calm, loving personalities and their stunning good looks.Jack has masculine features and a very long hair coat. He loves being combed and brushed and will expect some daily grooming. Once he is adjusted into a new home and feeling happy, he will groom himself, but due to his coat being so luxurious, he will have an occasional hairball to expel—so he appreciates and needs the help caring for his coat. Once you meet him, you`ll know it is worth a hair ball or two!Jack is sociable after feeling secure in a new home, he likes to approach and paw for attention when people are seated, and when invited to have a seat with a snap of the fingers, he will gladly jump up to share the chair. He loves to chatter—he does not have a full meow—however, he has a fully-functional purr mechanism! Once he is settled in to a home, he also loves to have string or a shoelace dangled for him to catch, and soft mouse toys seem to be his toy of choice to play on his own. He finds watching birds enjoyable and if supplied with a tall cat “tree” he will climb to the top to perch and sleep, as well as use it as a scratching post—he loves to use a scratching post! He enjoys morning hours with his people and Maddie, this is the time they like to play with their humans, hang out and be groomed.Jack has perfect litter box skills and has been vetted, is healthy and ready to enjoy activity and curiousities in his new life.Check out Maddie’s bio!
