Story
Stray came into my yard about 6 months ago, many pets displaced since Hurricane Michael. Had her spayed, shots, vet checked. Did not microchip thinking I might find owner, no luck. I have tried to add her to my household to no avail. She fights with my 2 cats trying to run them off and attacks my elder chiweenie. BUT worst of all she is killing my free range chickens which are also my babies. I have tried every trick I know to no avail. My house is very tiny so no way to keep her separate inside. Now she is confined to my shed 22 hours a day, with hour outside exercise dawn and dusk (when chicks, dog and other cats confined). This is no quality of life for this girl. She is sweet and loving with me and wants to be loved. She needs to be the ONLY animal in the family and an indoor cat.

Story
Zippy' Story DSH Tabby with gold highlights Current on vaccination and FIV/Felv negative DOB: 8/11/10 Zippy was found all alone under a house. She was only 3 weeks old. She came to he sanctuary and was bottle fed until she was able to eat on her own. When she was older, she began her life with the other cats. She made the adjustment very quickly. Zippy got her name because she did not walk anywhere –just zipped from one place to another. She does not zip quite as much as an adult, but has retained her energetic spirit. Zippy does well with other cats and likes dogs. She is a happy cat and would love to find her forever home.

Story
Matilda was born in the back yard of a concerned older man. He was able to trap Mom and get her spayed, but needed help with the kittens. Matilda came into the rescue program for evaluation. She proved to be a little shy, but with time she warms up to her people. She loves to play with the kitty toys and the other cats. Matilda was born around January 2, 2018. Matilda is good with other cats and is OK with small dogs. She continues to be a little cautious around large dogs. Matilda will be a wonderful addition to a loving family willing to give her the time she needs to adjust. Matilda is current on vaccinations, spayed, and FIV/Felv negative.

Story
Bonnie Bon Jovi – Siamese mix, spayed female, utd on vaccinations, FIV/Felv negative Born 4/29/13 Bonnie is a vocal, independent, sassy young lady. Her previous owner passed away. As is often the case, there were no family members willing to adopt Bonnie. A kind lady continued to feed Bonnie until the property was sold. The new owners did not want a cat on the property. A very confused Bonnie came to rescue. She quickly accepted her new kitty roommates and living arrangement. Close observation revealed an ongoing eye issue. Bonnie had entropion – a condition in which a portion of the cat’s eyelid is inverted. This causes eyelashes to rub against the surface to the cat’s eye, causing irritation and pain. Fortunately, this condition can be corrected with surgery. Bonnie had eye surgery in May, 2016 and has made a complete recovery. At a little over 12 lbs, Bonnie is a healthy girl. She is good with cats/dogs and loves to sit on the screen porch watching the birds and squirrels. I am sure Bonnie remembers her previous home and would love to find another person to love. Bonnie has developed food allergies and requires a special diet.

Story
Saki is one of a litter of four born on a local farm in April, 2009. Saki has short hair and is a typical tabby with white paws and face. Her Mother was killed by wild animals and she was hand raised by the owner of the farm. When the farm owner had to leave the property, the kittens where brought to the sanctuary. Saki is shy on initial meeting with new people and will require time, love, and patience while adjusting to a new home. The reward will be well worth effort. Saki is a sweet, loving cat. She likes to be petted and will give deep purrs of gratitude. She is good with cats and dogs. Saki has been spayed, current on vaccinations, and FIV/Felv negative. For more information on Saki, please contact the Sanctuary.
