Ummmm....if you must know, my name is Jennifer. I ended up here with my four kittens. I've been spayed now, so I won't have to go through that again. I hear people say how cute, petite and pretty I am with my "classic tabby circles" on my sides. But, I'm kind of scared of people...almost feral. So I tend to hide behind things. I wish I could talk human talk so I could explain why. Maybe people hurt me in the past or maybe I just have not been around them enough. I like other cats, tho! This adorable, round-faced little girl is one of those cats that only a "true cat person" could love. She is a major sweetie when she wants to be, but other times she's just full of emotions. She gets along fine with dogs, but cats are another story. She definitely doesn't seek out anyone to be mean, but she prefers her space and will whack those who come across her path. This doesn't mean she has to be the only cat, but if you do have another, they'll simply be like roommates rather than buddies. When she does decide to be sweet (which is more often than not), she loooves belly rubs and forehead smooches. She's not the biggest fan of being held, but will sometimes tolerate it. Oh where do we go with this beautiful, regal kitty? Jort is our precious senior here at the shelter. Big boy Jort is a senior at 10 years old but still moves nicely. This handsome old gent is as close to a Maine Coon wanna-be as you can imagine! He's big and beautiful and shouldn't be in a shelter at his age. He is kind, handsome and will relax and lay around all you want. And hey, isn't that what all seniors deserve after living a full life? He needs to be in a quiet atmosphere so he can be laid back and comfortable to live out his golden years instead of in a crowded cat room. Please be THE one for this big boy.
