Story
Meet Panther. He was being fed by one of our volunteers in Oxford. He’d been Outside for a few months but when we trapped him we realized this handsome boy is friendly, just very scared. He’s a little afraid of men so will need a home with a woman who can be his person. He is extremely affectionate once he feels safe & will climb into your lap to be petted - and stay there until you remove him!! He is starting to play & learning about controlling his claws, he will grab your hand to continue to play with him and is playing on his own also 🙂. He is extremely affectionate and now seeks his foster mom every time I’m downstairs with him and the other cats and kittens. He is now jumping up to sit with me on the couch and will climb in my lap to be petted. He is really one sweet boy! He is ok with other cats and would need to be introduced correctly - he doesn’t really look to interact with the other cats but we have 2 kittens who I find curled up with him quite a bit!! We don’t know his past and suspect it wasn’t the nicest situation but there is a huge love bug in this boy - just needs to find the right person with whom he feels safe enough to let his guard down & let his inner loving self emerge! Panther is about 2 years old. If you think you can open your heart & home to this big hunk of love contact: Cindy at cmm283@yahoo.com.

Story
Girl Gray is a beautiful cat with an interesting past and a sparkling future full hope and promise.  This grey tabby girl was found at a well-known “Park and Ride” spot where so many animals show up and are looking for a ride to a new home. It seems to be the local drop off for unwanted pets.   Maybe she hitched a ride in the back of a pick up truck and the owner did not know she was on board. Noone seemed to miss her though, we searched a while.  We are thinking she is about 4.5 years old now and that she prefers a home vs a barn where she stayed for a while. Atthe barn she stayed at the other barn cats just rejected her.   Seems her lineage and personality is elevated above barn cat status. Slowly  the foster home dogs got used to her and she got used to the dogs. When one comes too close she swats at their nose.  She does like the Cockatiel and Lovebird cage a little bit too much and hangs on the wire if you don't watch it, so a bird less home is a must have.  She likes to rub her head on your wet hair when you come out of the shower.  She is unique and confident personality.   Currently she has a window seat in the bathroom where she spends most of her day looking out of her padded bed.  She is healthy, happy, FIV negative, spayed and microchipped.  Ready, willing and able to embrace a new life that promises her a forever future and love. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Story
Meet Charity!!  She is a super sweet and loving almost 3 year old little kitty who weighs about 10 lbs.  She is great with other cats and good with dogs.  Miss Charity was the product of an irresponsible owner who did not take his cats to the vet and ended up with too many roaming the neighborhood.  Enter Miss Peggy and a couple of his other neighbors and Miss Charity has a foster home.  Peggy took Charity and her brothers and sisters in.  Everyone went to the vet and the over population was over.  One by one or two by two depending on the cats Peggy has taken them in, made them pets and they have found wonderful forever homes.  Now it is Miss Charity's time.  She has adjusted well to being in a home and loved and cared for.  She is litter box trained and an inside cat now.  She is blossoming in this environment and now ready for her forever home.  She will be a great and loving addition.  Charity is current on all her shots, feline aid and leukemia negative, spayed and microchipped.  To learn more about Charity please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net or 615-943-7311. APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.

Story
Meet Mister, a handsome black Manx boy that has short soft black hair and of course no tail. Mister is a small boy but he has a feisty personality that is definitive and easy to figure out.  This 6 year old, 10 pound boy loves people and being petted and invites some good snuggles. Mister is very picky about his cat friends though and if he doesn't like one, he's not nice to it.   So we are saying that he needs to an only cat in a home. He gets along pretty good with most dogs but can be a bit mean to them sometimes too. He loves people no matter what and will tolerate you medicating infected ears which says a lot about him. He even lets you trim his nails and he just lies there purring. He likes to snuggle and sleep on the bed with his humans and he will use a litter box and will also go outside. He uses a doggy door and usually goes outside to potty.  He's a busy cat that loves to see everything going on and make sure everything meets his standards. He goes in and out the doggy door all day and is quite the easy cat that takes care of himself quite well.   If you are interested in him please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped.
