This is Fiona. She's a 10 year old rescue. Unfortunately over the last 3 years, she's just not getting the attention she needs. We now have 3 and 1 year old kids, and she's afraid of them. She's litter trained, however, she seems to have a lot of anxiety associated with the kids. She only comes up from the basement when they go down for sleep. Her anxiety seems to also causes her reluctance to use her litter box at least once per week. She used to never have a problem with this. I believe she'd continue normal use of litter box, if she didn't have so much anxiety. She's always been a relatively mellow cat, who doesn't need or want a whole lot of attention, but I feel we aren't even giving her the amount she needs anymore. Every night she likes to come up and sit on our lap now once the kids are sleeping.

I am available as a foster-to-adopt pet, as I arrived at the shelter with a wound of unknown origin. It's not as bad as it sounds. They think another animal might have bitten me, so they have to follow some special rules. My new family will also have to follow the rules for another month or two as well. Don't worry!
