Story

Noel is a sweet girl who I found abandoned 8 years ago. I gave her to my elderly father who was living alone. She shared his home with another cat, but she was not particularly fond of him. No fights, but Noel prefers to be an only cat. My father passed away last week and Noel stayed at his bedside until the end. She is very sweet but does have one behavioral issue. She loves to be petted and purrs readily, but occasionally will strike out with her claw and sometimes hisses when scared or startled. Definitely a one person cat. She is currently at the Vet's getting updated with all her shots and bloodwork. I just cannot bear to put her down because of her loyalty to my father. I already have four rescue cats and a dog, so I cannot keep her. Noel needs the right person, and I will offer the right person Purina cat chow for a year as a thank you.

He has been living in a foster cat room located at Life Quest Inc , we are a Psychosocial Rehabilitation. We help adults with a mental health diagnosis make their dreams come true. One of the perks is the foster cat room that holds our available cats that have been rescued from the Beaufort county animal control here in Washington, NC. We found that our members here really enjoy the attention they receive from the cats, and the cats love the members they even became more socialized and great family pets. Not only is the foster cat room therapeutic to our members but it also teaches them responsibility and how to care for a pet. The people who come to adopt our cats get to spend time with them in a home like setting and get to see the real personality of our cats and not in a scary setting like the shelter or adoption events.
