Story
I got Obie 10 years ago as a kitten. I am looking for a home for my baby that is calm and can handle her kidney issue expenses. She recently started showing signs of kidney disease, but due to my having 2 children, (having my third in December), I cannot pay to get her the right food and tests,so she cannot be taken care of properly at my house. I love her dearly and only want what is best for her. A home without any pets or kids is best. When she is calm, she is the sweetest and cuddliest cat. At night, she will lay right beside me and refuse to move until morning. I can sleep hugging her if I want to. She is the best kitty. I would describe Obie as sweet, serious, and loving. She plays when she is feeling good. She loves laser lights and catnip. She tends to hide when there are new people around, but she will warm up as long as the environment is calm. She deserves a loving home and reliable home.

Story
Suzie is a calico, very pretty cat, she used to be feral I've had her for a few years now. She stays Outdoors but once in a while if I leave my door open she'll come in. I have a cat door in my garage and she goes in and out of that, I have beds, food and water, and a litter box in there for her. You can have her as an indoor or outdoor cat she's not declawed. She is a good cat but sometimes Moody, she has never bit, or scratched me she loves her tummy rubbed. Even though she is an outdoor cat I still put Frontline on her every month, and I deworm her every year.

She came to us in Kodak and never left, we took her in approximately 7 years ago. The vet estimated her to be about a year old. So she is approximately 8 years old. She is very friendly when she gets use to you and her new home. She will hide for awhile but will always come out to eat. She gets along with small dogs.

Story
Shorty is a handsome orange tabby with a super sweet disposition. He came to our shelter as a tiny kitten and has grown up with all of the other cats in the shelter. Shorty is gregarious with people, kids, other cats, and dogs, and needs to be adopted with other pets, preferably cats, present in the house. He has grown so accustomed to life at the Shelter that he has had two failed adoptions as a result of withdrawing in his new environment. He's going to need an adopter that is patient and experienced with transitioning animals. Our adoption process: It is our goal to match each animal with the most compatible home, based on their personality and temperament. In order to do this we ask that all potential adopters fill out an adoption interview, as well as talk with a staff member about what they are looking for in a new pet. By doing this we can better match adoptee with an adopter, resulting in forever homes!

Story
Chardonnay was a stray found at Great Smoky Mountains Winery. This 5-year-old kitty had an inflamed digestion system that made relieving herself painful. PAWS has been able to reduce her irritation but she is still on a special diet and medicines to keep her inflammation from coming back. She will let people pet her and will rub or sniff their hands but is content to just sun on a window sill. We are also willing to help with Chardonnay's current meds to a potential adopter. IF you have more questions please feel free to call us at 828-488-0418.
