My father has recently moved and was unable to take his cat Seymour with him. I took her in but she is not getting along with my other cats. My cats pick on her and they fight a lot. I am beginning to worry that she is depressed. Seymour is obviously not happy or comfortable in this environment. She is mostly indoor but does enjoy porch time. She doesn't seem to do very well with other cats. She has lived with small dogs.

We all love Buddha. He's a shelter favorite. Buddha is an older cat who is FIV+. He's spent 3 years in the shelter now, during which time he has charmed us all. He's a big, smart, confident cat who clearly lived on the streets a long time.He's the type of cat that likes being petted-until he doesn't anymore. He doesn't like dogs, especially big males (most likely from bad experiences in his past) but if you introduce him nicely to one, train either animal to respect boundaries, and use patience in monitoring Buddha with a dog, then he is good and lets them be.This rugged beast is picky about his cat friends and loves to be super affectionate so being the only pet is his ideal home, so this little gargoyle gets all the attention.Buddha loves his people, but you'll have to put up with the occasional love bite. He really has a personality and is not a wallflower.

Dee Dee is a lighter colored female tortie who is quiet and sweet. She came in as a stray but loves anyone she meets. Dee Dee loves pets, scratches and being held. Whenever she is happy, she opens the biscuit factory and does not stop making biscuits until she falls asleep.

Story
Lucky is a 4.5 year old neutered male grey tabby that wandered up to my bedroom window in Alpine, Texas, when he was an 8-week-old kitten. He had a few health problems, most likely because he had lost his feral mother, but with veterinary care, he recovered quickly. All of the additional handling that he needed as a kitten, when he was given eye and ear drops, made him a very trusting and lovable cat. He has been an indoor-only cat, but he loves hanging outside on an enclosed cat porch, where he has caught a few birds that wandered inside the fenceline. He absolutely loves attention and petting from any human, and he is great with little kids. He never bites or scratches. He is very well litter box trained, and does not spray or mark territory. He gets along very well with other cats, as well. He loves watching birds and playing with all different types of cat toys. All vaccinations are up to date.
