Story
Welcome Penny. Penny was from a puppy mill and adopted a little over a year ago. Unfortunately, her family could not longer care for her so they reached out to DCAR to find her a new home. Penny is very sweet and social. Penny likes to sit next to you on the couch and run in the yard no matter what the weather is. She gets along well with other dogs but not sure how she does with cats. Penny doesn't show interest in toys and needs to loose a few pounds. She would also be fine as an only pet. So if she sounds like the pup you've been waiting for please complete an application. PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION BELOW! We currently adopt in the states of NY, NJ, Eastern PA, DE, and some areas in MD. We can not accept applications from other states at this time. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our adoption application which you can find on our website at www.dutchcountryanimalrescue.org/adopt.html Our adoption fees are on our application. All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and DHPP, heartworm tested, treated for worms and fleas and most are microchipped. We are not a shelter, we are 100% volunteer public charity. All of our dogs are in foster homes until they are adopted. Since we are not a shelter, we do not receive government funding. We are a public charity that relies solely on funds through our adoption fee, fundraisers, and private donations. Since we are 100% volunteer based, all funds collected go directly towards the rescue and vet costs of our dogs. We take each rescue personally and spend a lot of effort trying to match the right dog to the right family. Thank you for considering one of our rescued dogs.
