Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.    As with so many commuinity cats, we know very little about Phoenix.  However, we do know that he lived near a post office, and neither snow or rain or heat or gloom of night would keep his caretakers from feeding him every night, hoping that he would be there.  We also knew that after being trapped and neutered, we found him to be a very affectionate, loving three-year-old cat who would love to be a part of someone's loving home.  Phoenix is FIV positive but is very healthy and could live a normal life span in a home where he is well taken care of.  Please consider allowing Phoenix to be a part of your family.  He is too loving to live by himself in the bushes at the post office.  He has been neutered, combo tested negative for feline leukemia, all shots and dewormed.  Call Mary Kay at 713-453-8621 or e-mail her at mkhendricks1@comcast.net.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
Howdy! We're Danny Zuko and Kenickie, who were named after characters in the musical "Grease." (Danny Zuko was the greaser gang leader who was played by John Travolta, and Kenickie was the #2 greaser gang leader who was played by Jeff Conway.) We're both devoted and loyal friends to our humans. We love nuzzles and snacks as well as being near our humans. We will follow them from room to room and then plop down at their feet or near their chair to watch them. We sleep (and play) in bed on their feet. We complement each other very well. Danny Zuko has the more dominant personality, but, while more reserved, Kenickie has what it takes to keep up with a powerhouse like Danny! We call for each other throughout the house and never like to be far from one another. We're a beautiful pair that's a sight to behold as we relax or play. Danny Zuko says, "I'm a very playful, handsome, sleek gray DSH/ Russian Blue mix fella with big jade-green eyes who was born in April 2019. While I may not want to be picked up, I love to be near my humans. I'm a cat's cat who plays hard and loves hard. I'm full of energy and love to chase and roughhouse with Kenickie. When we've thoroughly exhausted ourselves, we snuggle up together for a mutual grooming session and then a little snooze. I've also got a curious streak and enjoy looking out the window at the birds and the squirrels." Kenickie says, "I'm a sweet, petite, angel-faced, and handsome golden and brown tabby DSH fella who was born in April 2019. I definitely have an exotic look about me: mascara streaks from my eyes to my ears, distinct stripes on my silky back, and adorable spots on my chest and belly. I just may have some Bengal blood's coursing through my veins as I have the Bengal's black paw pads and brick-colored nose leather that's outlined in black. That doesn't really matter -- what does is that I'm a super-chill/ easy-going/ laid-back guy with round, inquisitive eyes who just loves my foster parents and my brother Danny Zuko. Even though I'm a wildcat-looking tabby, I'm somewhat timid; however, when I'm feeling brave, I'l throw my little body against my foster meowmy's side and purr as loudly as I can! My purr motor sounds like a perking coffeepot. True confessions, I'm a bit of a scaredy cat around people whom I don't know, but once I warm up to them, my purrs can shake the walls! My favorite pastimes are to lounge and to observe; however Danny Zuko really brings out the kitten in me and gets me running, roughhousing, and playing." Our feral mom Sandy had our litter in a neighborhood where a nice lady was feeding a lot of ferals. Her neighbors trapped Sandy and brought her and all of us inside to safety when we were six weeks old. Mama Sandy continued to nurse us and nurture us, and we were all young enough to be well socialized to people. Once we were weaned, Sandy was released to her old haunts because she was unfortunately too feral to live indoors, and now we're fully vetted, "fixed," and ready for adoption! Kittens who play together need to stay together, so we can only be adopted as a bonded pair. Two is more fun than one, and we could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation. I hope you'll arrange to meet us today! Danny Zuko and Kenickie are updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for their indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. Their adoption fee is $175 for the bonded pair, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Danny Zuko and Kenickie, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet them. To adopt one of our cats, you must fill out our adoption application and be approved by one of our adoption counselors. To make the process more efficient, submit the online cat adoption application at https://www.bustersfriends.org/cat-adoption-application.
