Story
Grandma is a 9-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-kill shelter. This dog is current on vaccinations, microchipped, 4dx/heartworm tested, and spayed/neutered. This dog is also tested with other dogs, kennel-trained, and housebroken. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if it might be a good fit for your home.
The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal. The hold does not require that you adopt the animal, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Hold times cannot exceed 5 days. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.
***COVID-19 Update: We typically host weekly Saturday adoption events. In order to follow the CDC's recommendation for COVID-19 protocols, we will be suspending our weekly Saturday adoption events until given the clear. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals.
As always, our foster homes are happy to speak to approved applicants prior to meeting up to ensure compatible matches. Furthermore, they are happy to accommodate video chat, text messages, pictures, etc. to reduce in-person contact.
While our adoption appointment objects are thoroughly disinfected before and after use (writing pens, clipboard, tables), adoption paperwork, medical records, and adoption fees can also be completed electronically (which is preferred). Private appointments will be scheduled in intervals to avoid large gatherings of people.***
Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 48-72 hours for an application to be processed.
