Story
Goes by Jasmine, jazzy or jazzy girl. I never imagined that we would be trying to find another home for her, but I think it may be time for her to find her next family to love. She’s loves to snuggle and get cozy, but is also very protective.

Story
Meet Nubz! Nubz is a male, 2 year old, Chihuahua blend. He is 8 pounds.Nubz arrived at the shelter as a stray. This guy has so much potential, but he is really insecure and fearful. He thinks he's about 200 pounds, instead of 8. His attitude is all insecurity. He takes time to warm up to new people. Expect his full personality to really blossom once he is home, establishes a routine and decompresses from his stay at the shelter.Nubz appears to be house trained, or at least kennel trained. He never wants to potty in his kennel, but immediately does his business outside. He will require a home with bigger kids, an indoor home and a containment plan to keep him safe from wandering. He doesn't share well with other dogs and has not successfully been housed with other dogs. He would likely do best as an only dog in the home.Nubz is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready to go home today!

Story
Foster Location: Boise, ID Adoption Fee: $50 Age: 14 Breed: Chihuahua Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped Interested? Apply HERE: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Pete is a tan chihuahua and is around 14 years old. Pete came to Fuzzy Pawz when a local shelter decided he was so old that a shelter wasn’t the place for him and needed some extra love and care. He was in rough shape, but nothing that the vets that work with Fuzzy Pawz and lots of love couldn’t fix. After surgery to remove some rotten teeth, remove a few benign masses that were bothering him, and fix his nasal fistula, Pete is feeling like a whole new man! Pete is a sweet senior boy who is just looking to rest easy for his retirement. When he first arrived at his foster home, Pete was pretty shutdown and scared of people, but now that he has learned what a comfy place he’s got, he is a total snuggle bug. Being a senior means lots of napping, and if that nap can happen on your lap, chest, or belly, Pete will take it. Watch out for his epic snoring though. Pete does get some zoomies, usually once a day, and while his balance may be a little off, he is no less adorable doing laps in the yard or around the coffee table. Occasionally he will find a toy to growl at and play with. Pete is crate trained, although he would rather sleep with you at night. He is potty trained and can make it through the night. However, his foster parents have noticed that sometimes he wakes up from a nap and needs to go immediately outside for a potty break, kind of like a puppy, but if you don’t catch it in time, he may have an accident. The other dogs and cats in Pete’s house are of little interest to him. He gets along with everyone, as long as they leave him be. He can get a little cranky when the younger ones get rowdy near him. Of note, too, he’s had all of his teeth removed, so while his bite isn’t much, he will bark when he’s uncomfortable. Speaking of no teeth – soft foods only! Overall, Pete is a very sweet boy who just wants a soft pillow to lay on and a warm human to snuggle with. He is very easy going and would fit into most any home. Since he is a little cranky with too much rowdy-ness, we ask that he goes to a home with kids older than 12 years old. Pete is microchipped, neutered, and is up to date on all his vaccines.

Tan is Rocky. He is 6 yo. He is neutered. Up to date on shots. He is extremely sweet. He is good with kids, dogs and cats. He may need time adjusting to another small male dog but does great with our large male dog. He is housetrained and crate trained. He is used to snuggling often. Dark Brown is Roxy, she is 4 yo. Spayed. Up to date on shots. She is VERY affectionate and loves to snuggle too. She is also good with kids, dogs and cats. She runs from tiny kids if they try to pinch her. Story
MEET BUDDY: Buddy is a true chihuahua, he is independent and his personality makes him feel bigger than he actually is. You can usually find Buddy wherever the action is. He enjoys being held, but on his terms. He likes to be near his people, loves to eat, has moments of being playful with other dogs and can tend to be vocal when he doesn't get his way. Being the independent gentleman his is, Buddy is not overly affectionate but appreciates a warm home, a soft couch and a family that has the time to take care of his special health needs. Buddy has a mild heart murmur, arthritis,  and early kidney disease that is easily managed through diet, something we would like his adopter to continue. Buddy doesn't do well with larger dogs and would prefer spending his retirement in a home with smaller dogs only. He is 16 years old and 8 lbs. Due to his age & health, Buddy is considered an “Adoptable Hospice dogs” and IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. He is maintaining his current health status as of October 2019.  We are looking for a special someone for this small super senior. If you love to pamper, nurture and have the time to support his health through a holistic approach (with our guidance), this little gentleman may be meant for you! If you’re interested in adopting little Buddy please email us for an adoption application. Buddy Characteristics: loving, gentleman, playful, food motivated

Story
MEET JEDI: Jedi is a sweet girl who would love a home of her own. Jedi does have her own super powers, just like her name suggests! Try not to look into her eyes for too long, she has power to melt your heart! Jedi does like other dogs, but proper introductions are a must! Jedi can be a little insecure at times, but once she figures out that she is safe and loved, she blossoms into a goofy love bug! Jedi has a famous happy dance that she would love to show her new human. Jedi also comes with some clicker training, which she really excels at! She is so smart and really wants to please. Jedi is still a relatively young senior and has plenty of energy still. She does well on walks and is great in the car. She loves to roll in the grass and explore. Don’t let her age fool you. She loves to play with toys! She also loves to snuggle under blankets and prefers to sleep next to her favorite person at night. Although she lived in a foster home with larger dogs, she is feisty towards them. It would be best for her to be in a home with smaller dogs. She would probably do best in a cat free home, with older children who understand how to give her space. Jedi also knows how to use the dog door! Once Jedi is confident that she is in a safe home, she will be loyal to the people around her. It will take time for her to adjust to men, but as long as positive reinforcement is given (LOTS OF TREATS), she will do great with men. Due to her initial nervous behavior, she can only be around older children that are dog savvy (12 years or older) Dog savvy meaning they will not push boundaries and allow Jedi as much space as possible until she is ready for the next step of endless love. Jedi is at least 10 years and is a chihuahua mix (maybe doxie, too). She is a cautious girl that needs time to settle in and get to know her people. Once she knows you, she is just an absolute LOVE! Please spread the word! I know the perfect home is out there for this girl! From Jedi's foster mom "Jedi loves kids but I would suggest older kids who are respectful and will also give her space. She loves other dogs but does have some dominating type behaviors, that could possibly trigger some dogs. I have 6 cats and she will bark at them and get nippy if not properly supervised. The good thing is that she re-directs wonderfully, so I think given the proper amount of time and training, she could learn to live with non-reactive cats and dogs. she also does tend to show a little hesitance towards men, but will warm up over time. She really will need someone who can be patient and understand that she is still trying to learn social cues and boundaries. she really wants to play with other dogs, but does not get the hint when they do not want to play with her. Jedi is a total snuggler & gives the best kisses! She lives to lay on the couch with her human.  We are working on teaching her boundaries, proper social interactions, and the "leave it" command. She has learned how to use the dog door." To receive an adoption application for Jedi, please email us.
