Story
Good with Kids: No Good with other dogs: Yes Good with cats: Interested but not pushy Housetrained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Walks Nicely on a leash: Workin’ on it Knows Basic Commands: Workin’ on it Energy Level: Moderate Special Needs: Skin Allergies Arrival Story: Discovered at the Macomb County Animal Control. Approximate Age/Weight: 3 year old / 10 lbs. Personality: Pinto Bean is quite the charmer with clumsy but fast-movin’ little legs! He loves his own people but will bark at strangers. It will take some time for Pinto to warm up to visitors / new people in his life. Kids are not ideal for Pinto. He loves other dogs and shows interest in resident cat but isn’t pushy. Not much makes him happier than playing with and shaking his toys! What a goof! Our clumsy boy sometimes misses his jump onto furniture and may run into a wall when he’s excited and not paying attention. Pinto is quick on his feet otherwise. Attends doggy daycare and enjoys spending time with canine pals. Getting better on car rides but still nervous, especially of windshield wipers. We see improvement on visits to the vet’s office. Pinto requires regular baths and is currently on steroids for skin allergies. While lots of improvement has been made since Pinto arrived, he will require ongoing care to keep itchiness away. Forever Home: Patient pet parent(s) ideal as Pinto is not confident with visitors/strangers. Skin issues will require extra care and may be long-term. Pinto loves other dogs so another canine pal/sibling would make him happiest. No electric fences, please. Contact: Please contact wtdr2008@yahoo.com if you’re interested in adopting Pinto. If you are interested adopting a dog, please download an Adoption Application from our website,Adoption Process Just complete the application and email it back to wtdr2008@yahoo.com ADOPTION INFO: We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. PLEASE no phone calls. Email 4kindnessanimslrescue@gmail.com, BUT READ THE FULL DESCRITION AND REQUIREMENTS BELOW FIRST! Tucker is very shy with new people. He is the most loyal dog but only once he decided you are trusty-worthy. He will play fetch for hours literally (loves squeakee toys). He will sit in your lap, too. But initially he will look at you with distrust . He will need a few days to warm up in his new home. He doesnt mind cats (leaves them alone) but he seems intimidated with large dogs. Small dogs he is ok with, again leaves them alone. Also we will not let him go to a home with kids under 12. If you PLAN on having children in the next 10 years, this dog isnt for you. He wouldnt hurt kids but he is so little that HE could get hurt. No exceptions. Also, if you are a young couple and planning to have kids, this is not the dog for you . Either a retired person/couple or a person/couple who have grown children or an empty nest--this would be the ideal for Tucker and for the adopter. If you think you have a home for him that will treat him kindly and let him have time to warm up to warm up to you, please email us for an application at 4kindnessanimalrescue@gmail.com. Tucker is one cute and special chihuahua. He is potty-trained and utd on his shots, flea and worm preventative and heart worm preventative. He is already neutered and ready to go home. Children under 12 are not a good idea in the home. We only do adoption within one hour of metro detroit 48322. So please check before contacting us. PLEASE NO PHONE CALLS. Emails only to 4kindnessanimalrescue@gmail.com We are volunteer based completely so we dont have anyone at the phone ready to take a call--emergency phone calls only.

Story
I adopted Pippa from Capital Area Humane Society in 2016. I have since divorced and relocated closer to my new grandson. She does not do well around other animals or little people. She has the potential to nip or possibly bite. She needs ALL of the attention. She loves her human unconditionally. Loves to burrow under the covers and keep you warm. Loves to go for car rides and walks. She would be perfect for a single elder person or couple. She is not playfully as in chasing balls or toys. She would rather watch guard out the window. I am not home enough to give her all the attention she deserves as I work full time and also have my grandson frequently. I have tried to let her around him and there has been to much tension to trust that she will not harm him and I can not risk his safety. PLEASE consider her if you are a retired or semi retired individual and need a loving companion. That would be a perfect life for her. Thank you for reading her story and if you need more information

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Tulip is new to LDDR and her foster family is still getting to know her. Check back soon for more on her. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
