Story
Well hey there! I am Chapo! First things first... I LOVE to SNUGGLE! My foster family is pretty awesome and I adore cuddling with them. Being around people I trust is just the best. I give lots of kisses and do a happy dance on my back legs for treats. My foster mom says I am a very smart boy as I am already potty trained and I know to come when my name is called. Isn't that great?! Something you should know about me is that I do take some time to learn to trust new people. Strangers are pretty scary to me and I act defensively when I meet them. My new family needs to understand that it will take a little while for me to trust them and they will need to be patient with me while I learn that my new environment is safe. I will absolutely adore my family once I feel comfortable. I promise you I’m worth it! I will do best in a calm, quiet home. I do ok with respectful, older children as long as they understand my limitations. I get a little nervous if I am caught off guard. A fenced in yard is preferred as I am still learning to meet new people and other pets. I act defensively when I meet them while on walks so it isn’t a very fun experience. Also, I am pretty talkative so I may not do so well in a condo or townhome. I like to protect my family from all the big scary noises! I have met other dogs and I do very much enjoy playing with them. Tug of war is SO MUCH FUN! Im totally ok with the kitties I have met. I don’t pay them any attention; I am much more interested in snuggles from my humans! My foster family has really shown me what love is and I know that I can show you the same if you give me the chance. I will need some help to be comfortable with new people and new settings but I promise you I am worth it. I would love for you to pick me!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedure completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $300To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Scarlet is a local owner surrender who is super friendly and loves to play. She has lived with dogs, cats and kids and does fine with everyone. She is 98% housebroken but still uses a potty pad once in a while. She is crate trained and doesn't bark excessively. From her foster: Scarlet is such a sweet, loving girl who is learning to trust and get comfortable in new situations. She loves nothing more than some belly rubs and to be around her people. She has really been enjoying walks as the weather warms up, meal time, and wrestle matches with her small dog foster sis! Scarlet gets a little nervous with new people and situations, but once she has time to adjust she is such a sweetheart! She does well with adults, teens, and older children. She has not been around children under 10 years of age. Scarlet would love a home where her person is around during the day. She gets a little lonely and can bark and howl when left alone. Because of this shared walls are not recommended. Scarlet is potty trained on a regular schedule and has a history of using potty pads and is good about using those on a rainy or extra chilly days!

Story
Hi, I'm Ghiradeli! I'm from Alabama. She is listed and a Chi-Terrier mix, with the "lively, quick, alert and devoted characteristics of a Chi and the affectionate, spunky and playfulness attitude of a terrier. She often is jumping up to see who is at the door, and enjoys watching out the window, yet she does so without barking. As of 5/5/24, she weighs 11 lbs and has a silky short coat with very minimal shedding, and large light brown eyes. The tips of her ears flop down, but given the right wind, can float up (similar to a Chi!) Ghiridelli is a people-dog, and will be devoted to her humans; but also want to play with my dog. She has not exhibited anxiety when going into the crate, and although she enjoys the company of her humans, she will go into her bed in the same room. We leave the door of it open during the day, and she will go in there on her own and sleep. When following a schedule, she is potty trained, but I have not known her long enough to trust her uncrated by herself. Additionally, she sleeps throughout the night, happily entering it without struggle. She does make cute dream/snoring sounds sometimes, and I wonder if she is running in her sleep! Training wise, she is very eager to learn and is highly food motivated! I would recommend doing training classes because she is so intelligent and it would be a mentally stimulating environment, but it isn't necessary! She has sharp teeth at the moment, but has not chewed on cords, shoes etc. She does get over excited when giving kisses, and sometimes her sharp teeth get involved, but that is redirect able and not intentional. Two areas that I would want to address would be recall (as she is very fast, and loves to sniff things so it is sometimes hard to get her attention back) and jumping (she just wants to see what is going on!). We have not achieved loose-leash walking, but she does respect her leash and will walk while it is attached. The final thing would be that a fenced yard would be wonderful for her, or at the ability to have access to an area that she could run without fear of escaping.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hercules here. My foster mom calls me Ichabod, as in Ichabod Crane. I can be nervous and shy when I first meet someone, but give me time and you'll see how great I can be.  I can be a little nippy and bark when I am feeling uncomfortable in new situations.  I do well with kids who respect my insecurities and let me warm up to them before they approach. Dogs are my favorite! I love playing with dogs of all sizes, but can sometimes try to intimidate the bigger ones; what can I say, I have a "Napoleon Complex."  My foster mom says I am a funny dude with a lot of love and snuggles to give.  Will you give me the time and love I rightfully deserve?
