Story
Hadler aka Cody has blossomed into an affectionate companion. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of his size. He enjoys lounging on the couch with his human and sleeping in bed near their head. He's kennel trained. He delights in playing chase with his canine friends in the backyard, as well as playing with his toys. He's fond of bully sticks, house trained, adept at using the doggy door, and will resort to a potty pad if necessary. He LOVES to go for walks. Hadler aka Cody, is a rescue from a situation involving 25 small dogs, was extremely fearful upon his rescue a year ago. He was adopted but is now being returned due to the need for a quieter environment with fewer people. He is apprehensive around strangers, which makes his current situation unsuitable. He seeks a peaceful home. He would do best with another social dog in the home but can be solo. He does not like kids at all and will bark and growl at them. His limited exposure to people in the past means he's still learning how to greet them. He tends to get frightened and bark at newcomers. He's not comfortable around children or certain men, especially when they lean over him. However, he's highly motivated by treats, which helps when meeting new people. He has a quirky personality, and a generally calm demeanor. He is an Excellent companion dog. Hadler (Cody) is also leash trained and really enjoys walks, showing excitement when his harness is brought out. No kids for this guy. For adoption inquiries, visit www.campcompanion.org. The adoption fee is $300 plus tax.

Gorda and Paloma. Bonded girls around 9-10 years old. Probably mother daughter. Gorda is very gentle and loving, Paloma is more reserved - but non-confrontational, doesn't bite. Paloma needs cornered sometimes. She does follow me around and wants me to hold her while I am in the bathroom though. Gordita will cuddle. Gorda could possibly be ok without Paloma, but I feel Paloma needs Gorda. They like to sunbathe and would need a fenced yard to go out as both are too traumatized to go for walks. Good with other dogs their size and cats, not tested with larger dogs. Gordita likes kids but Palomita is more scared of kids. Crate trained. Not leash trained. Very gentle little ones . Gorda weighs 7 pounds and Paloma 7.5. They need work on potty training and will use a potty pad but can't be trusted, especially Palomita. Adoption fee is $300 plus tax each. Bonded pair to be adopted together Apply at www.campcompainon.org

Paloma needs cornered sometimes. Paloma is the one who is more involved in what I am doing and wants to follow me everywhere. I think they would be good if grandkids came over but probably prefer not to live with them all the time. Crate trained. Not leash trained. Very gentle little ones . Gorda weighs 7 pounds and Paloma 7.5. They need work on potty training and will use a potty pad but can't be trusted, especially Palomita. Both were tested for a urinary infection which was negative. Story
Harper is 6 years old. Are you looking for a playmate for your dog? Harper is your girl. She LOVES tiny little dogs. Those are her favorite. Oh Harper, she is a funny girl. She likes to rearrange blankets and drag them across the room to the pile of toys and bones she has collected. She LOVES to wrestle and play with the dogs in the foster home. She is great with the cat. Harper is potty trained to the doggie door but will also use a potty pad if needed. Harper came from a hoarding case and prefers the company of other dogs more than people. When she has her dog friends around she is confident and will follow you everywhere and is a happy funny girl with tail wagging away. She is semi-feral when it comes to people. She doesn't want people to touch her but she will dance for you with excitement when you get home from work. She has 2 requirements if adopting: Must have a Fence and another dog. The perfect home for Harper is a someone who is ok with a dog who doesn't want to go for walks or in the car. That you are ok with her just being a dog with dog friends. And a fenced yard, doggie door is a plus as she doesn't want you to stand in the doorway for her to go outside. She has been in rescue for 2 years now and has gotten a little chubby. :) Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org Email questions to Lori@campcompanion.org Adoption fee is $300 plus tax

Story
Paco is a 9 year old, 12 lb Chihuahua (little brown one). His favorite thing is to curl up with you in bed at night. He can be a little pushy/excited at times ? likely, just getting used to our routine. He eats when he wants to, and wasn&#39t thrilled with the bath, but just left it at a little whining til he got out. Usually he is happy to gnaw on a toy or bone while lying on the couch by you. He loves to quietly watch what is going on outside. Paco and Runt are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They both ride in the car beautifully! They do not do well in crates. Runt will scratch and smash her face on the grates, so we left them out in our bedroom the first few days we were at work. They now have the run of the house--no problems! They have had no accidents in the house, and they have fully raided our pet toy box. They didn&#39t bark or care about about our dogs or cats , but will bark at other dogs when out for a walk. The original owner says they will go to the door and bark to let you know they need to go out. We haven&#39t been able to confirm as we have two seniors we let out a lot in the evenings. There is no guarding or aggression at all when it comes to food or toys. They both sleep through the night. Their adoption fee is $500.

Story
Basil is one of nine dogs who came to us from a small hoarding situation in town. He appears to be a chihuahua mixed with some sort of wire haired breed. We think he's around 2 years old. Like all of the dogs from this household, he is very shy and unsure of himself. It does take a bit of time for him to warm up and learn to trust. Once he does, he's affectionate, playful, and a lot of fun. He has been fully vet checked and neutered and his fee is $125. Basil is looking for a patient, ADULT only home. Teens should be okay. He will require time and basic training. Basil is very attached to his "brother" Barrett. We would love to see them adopted together. The fee for each dog, alone, is $125. For both, it is $200. We are open on Saturdays from 10-11:30, Sundays from 2-4, and Tuesdays from 4:30-6. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport, behind Spectrum. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
