Story
Hi, my name is ChiChi. I'm an 8 year old Chihuahua mix girl that has had a bit of a rough start. The family I was with did not socialize with me very much, and my mouth was a mess and hurt really bad. When I got to All About Paws they had my teeth all cleaned up. I feel much better after losing 20 teeth. I'm now learning to trust people, but on my own terms. In the short amount of time I've been with my foster daddy, I feel I've grown so much! I use to be scared of noises and any type of movement. I'm now going outside to do my business but still have occasional accidents if my foster daddy is gone too long. I’m still working on my leash training, so for now I'm enjoying a fenced backyard. I like to play bow now and run around with excitement and bark. I'm still skittish, but I like to come to you on my own terms but with lots of affection and patience I will get there. Once I get in the chair with you I do like a good belly rubbing, sometimes it's only for a short time and I jump back down. I'm learning to sleep in the big bed, it's so nice. I do well with older kids and dogs my size. If you have patience and extra love to give I sure would like to meet you. ChiChi is spayed, up to date on all her vaccines, microchipped, heart worm negative and on a monthly preventative, on a flea/tick preventative, had a dental, and a fecal. ChiChi’s adoption fee is $275.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. Story
Hi, I’m Flash, a small 3 year-old Chihuahua, weighing in around 6 lbs. I’m a little velcro dog, sticking to you wherever you go, and ready at all times to sit in your lap and give kisses. I’m happy all the time, never giving attitude to the other dogs when they take my bones and toys. OK, maybe a little growling when they try to take my food … but give a guy a break. Not my food!! I really like to be part of a family. I play with the other little dogs at my foster home and that’s really fun. They’re about my size, so that works out just fine. I’m not around cats or kids, so I don’t know how I feel about that. If I were around kids, I think I’d do better in a home with no toddlers, but school age kids would work just fine. I have lots of energy, like to run and play outside, and will definitely need a fenced yard. I’m working on coming when called, going up and down the inside steps to the basement, and potty training. A young dog is a 10-15 year commitment. Many dogs are surrendered to us because their owners are no longer able to care for them due to their health. We try to place young dogs and puppies in active, busy families. We encourage seniors to look at age appropriate dogs. Flash is neutered, up to date on all his vaccines, microchipped, heart worm negative and on a monthly preventative, on a flea/tick preventative, and had a fecal. Flash’s adoption fee is $300.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. Story
Hi, I’m Leon, an 8-year-old long-haired Chihuahua. I’m a very happy, easy-going little guy. I’m doing well being around all of the other K-9 fosters in my home, as they are small like me, but I’m not around cats or kids where I am so I don’t know how I’d react to them. I like to be outside, but I don’t require a fence. It’s best if you come outside with me at all times, just for my safety. I sleep in a large wire crate at night with the other doggies, or when foster mom is at work. We have all of our blankies and toys in the crate, so it’s very comfy. I have recently been diagnosed with epilepsy. My seizures seem to be mild and infrequent, but I need to find someone that is committed to making sure I’m loved and safe, and can give me my medicine every day. I’m also trying so hard to understand this potty training thing, but I’m not catching on so well. Foster mom keeps me in very stylish belly bands when I’m inside the house, so I don’t make a mess. Leon is neutered, up to date on all his vaccines, microchipped, has had a dental, is heart worm negative and on a monthly preventative, and on a flea/tick preventative. Leon’s adoption fee is $250.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. Story
Hey everybody, my name is Lou! I am a 9 year old Chihuahua boy that lived with my owner who so sadly passed away. He really loved me but he fed me way too much. When I came to All About Paws Rescue I weighed over 13 pounds. My foster mom put me in boot camp! I'm down in weight and looking and feeling great! I'm used to being the only canine man in the house, so I would do best in home with no other dogs or kids. I also tend to attach myself with one person and I will love them especially their laps! I am house trained for the most part but if you're gone too long I will use a potty pads. Really no need for a fenced yard, I walked a lot in boot camp. I hope you will consider me for your Forever pet and help me with my weight-loss Journey! Lou is up to date on all shots, heart worm negative, on heart worm preventative, microchiped, de-wormed, and neutered. Lou’s adoption fee is $250.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Story
Hello friends, my name is Taz! I am a very energetic, bouncy 11 month old boy. I am a Chihuahua mix and 17 pounds (foster mom’s best estimate is that I’ll be around 25 full grown). I love everything and I've never met a stranger. I have so much love to give and really need an energetic K9 sibling and small humans would be a plus since they like to run with me and that’s my favorite thing to do. I am still learning this thing my foster mom calls manners. She makes me sit when I get treats and eat my meals. I am also learning to greet people without jumping on them. We go on walks every day and I am doing great at leash walking, however the cars still spook me a bit. To redirect my fear foster mom reassures me and gives me a treat. I will require a fenced in yard as I love to run and am very curious when outside. When I get tiered my favorite spot to lay is right on your chest, I even wake up and give some kisses to make sure you’re still there. I am very food motivated which helps with training, my new family will need to keep up on my training so I know what I can and can’t do. I am doing great with potty training and have only had a few accidents. I am crate trained, when foster mommy goes bye bye I run into my crate and take a nap until she comes home. I am starting to come around to toys and these little round things called balls are pretty cool too. I am so ready to get into my new home so I can adjust to my new routine and make new friends! However my foster mom thinks a dog savy home is the best option for me. A young dog is a 10-15 year commitment. Many dogs are surrendered to us because their owners are no longer able to care for them due to their health. We try to place young dogs and puppies in active, busy families. We encourage seniors to look at age appropriate dogs. Taz is up to date on all shots, had a fecal, heart worm negative and on preventative, neutered, and microchipped. Taz’s adoption fee is $300.00.
