Story
Zeus turned 6 years old in January. We recently had a lot of life changes including a new baby and a move from CT to NY. Although Zeus has adjusted well to the move, he does not get along with the baby. In his defense, the baby is not gentle when petting Zeus. Zeus is great around all kids, however he is aggressive towards older men when first meeting them. It takes a few visits for him to warm up to a new man. Zeus is house and kennel trained. He enjoys walks, belly rubs, and snuggling.

Story
Hi, my name is Khloe. I am an eight year old Chihuahua who is the most outstanding lap dog EVER! My story is sad; however, my future is bright! My mom passed away and her grandchildren stepped up to find me a home where I can be a full-time companion. Her grandchildren work full-time and I am alone all day. I have had a dental in last two months and my health is excellent. I have had great healthcare and have had heartworm prevention my entire life. I know there is a happy ever after out there for me. My mom would be so happy that a rescue is matchmaking to find the best person for my future. I would love to play in the snow! Thank you. Please fill out an adoption application at rangersreach.com. $350 is Khloe's adoption fee. An additional $200 transportation fee is transport from Houston to Connecticut. Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Texas- My rescue will make all arrangements for me to travel to you as soon as I am adopted. Note: The above bio on the dog reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. We provide adopters current information on our dogs; we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners. Our adoption fees vary, according to species, size, age and other issues. Discounts apply in some cases. Our dogs have been dewormed, heartworm tested (if over 6 months), started on heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, vaccinated for bordetella, dhppv, rabies (if age appropriate) and microchipped. If old enough they are spayed or neutered, otherwise it will be noted and under a foster to adopt contract until completed and an additional deposit of $100 will be required- deposit will be refunded upon request and proof of surgery. A transportation fee of $200 is required and covers health certificate to travel as well as transportation. Please be advised that our dogs are adopted to their forever families prior to being transported. Unfortunately, it is not possible to meet the dogs in person prior to adoption. We will Facetime and you may speak with the dog’s foster family. We only send well behaved, well rounded dogs, sending anything other fails the dogs. We expect our dogs to be adopted by families who understand- these are rescue dogs, they will need time to decompress, routine and stability. We put our lives into saving these dogs- we expect their new families to be prepared for a lifetime commitment before applying- dogs are not recyclable. Please do not send an email inquiring about a dog. Please fill out the adoption application found at https://www.rangersreach.org/ We are 100% volunteer ran and you have no clue how bad it is down here; we try as hard as we can to get through applications as fast as possible. If we spend all our time answering inquires and emails, we have no time to look over applications. Please do not apply until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. We do not hold dogs for any reason. We do try to be fair and go in the order applications are received. If no response, decision or adoption is made we must move on to the next application. Applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will receive that dog. WE CANNOT ADOPT INTO MASSACHUSETTS AT THIS TIME

Story
Little Peanut found herself in need of a new home when her elderly guardian became ill and could no longer care for her. One of our foster moms was glad to step in and help her out. Peanut is a sweetheart! She's a little shy at first, but it doesn't take her long to warm up. She gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home. Although we know that she would love to have a person all her own! We estimate that Peanut as approximately 3-4 years old. She is in good health with the exception of a few extra pounds. But with regular meals and exercise, she has already lost some weight! Right now, she is being fostered in Tennessee. The rescue lists in areas where transport is available. They use safe USDA licensed dog transports that will bring her to their new family, once they are adopted! Once you send an application, the rescue will contact you for an interview and be able to send more photos and even videos She is spayed and UTD on all required vaccinations. She is microchipped and on flea preventative. Please, you MUST click the following link BEFORE emailing for further information. Story
Name: Oso Age: 10+ years Breed: Chihuahua. (8-10#) Sex: Male (Not neutered) Location: Newberry Spring, Ca Vet Info: Oso has no vet information listed. Heartworm is unknown. He is reported as not being current with vaccinations. Owner Info: Oso is being fostered after his owner passed away and foster reports limited housing. The foster reports she has called local rescues and individuals but lives in a rural area and options are limited. Oso is an indoor dog confined to one area of the house. He is reported to be housebroken and leash-trained. Oso is described as being outgoing, good with adults and other dogs. He currently lives with 3 other dogs. Foster reports that despite being blind, Oso gets around well and has good energy. According to his current foster “Being blind he (Oso) needs verbal affirmation you are there. If you reach into grab him and he is not sure he will bite. He was abused so he is protective. In the 8 months I've had him, he has shown improvement. He just needs verbal communication that it is ok…In the beginning, he has bitten when I reached out without warning. Once outside his area he is fine. He hangs out with other dogs. He has improved tremendously, once he gets familiar with his surroundings. He just needs special attention." wner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them. These dogs are with their owners, and are not in BDRA foster homes. We do our best to screen these dogs, but make no guarantees regarding the information posted.** Please email os@blinddogrescue.org if you are interested in this sweetheart. Please know that we will ask for a vet reference.

Story
Eden is being fostered in PA, What we know about Eden: *blind *housebroken *quiet girl What her foster mom has to say about Eden: Eden is a very sweet girl who loves her bed and blanket, a very low key girl. She loves to go outside and being in the sun. She does very well on the leash. Completely housebroken if kept on a schedule, she will also use a pee pad. Eden has no teeth so her diet consist of can/wet food. If you'll let her she'll sleep in bed with you, but she's fine with sleeping in her bed too. She comes when you call her. She is food aggressive (with one of my dogs) so she's feed separately and that works. She does NOT like little kids running around making noise so I recommend a household with kids who are 12 or older. She's a champ when it comes to visiting the vet and she's fine in the car. Overall she's a sweet little lady who loves her bed and a quiet household. Blind Dog Rescue has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
