Story
Tulip is 3 years old and a chunky 13 lb. She loves dogs, cats and kids. Tulip is needy and loves attention. She does not have separation anxiety to the point that she ruins things, however she is a whiner and is always following you and pawing at your legs for attention. She needs a family that is home often and can give her all the attention she so much craves. Tulip is very social and great on a leash and harness. She says hi to everyone she meets and will be bff’s with every dog at the park and anyone willing to give her pets. She will quickly become the star of the show and a huge part of your family. Tulip would be a fantastic traveler and will go wherever you go, maybe we should have named her Shadow. Story
Hope is camera shy but certainly not a shy girl at all. Her paperwork says 11 months but she is probably closer to two years and is apx 11lb, short and stout. Hope is very confident and loves people and attention. She will choose a person over play time with another dog. She would be fine as an only dog or with siblings that do not mind her somewhat Jealous and bossy demeanor towards other dogs. Hope does play with other dogs of all ages and sizes but she likes to be the queen bee” . Walks well on leash with good potty manners. Cries a bit when crates but settles down with a toy or treat. Hope is a fantastic addition for the right home. She would do great with kids and does not mind much about cats. Story
Precious KiKi. Kiki is apx 9 years young, a short and round 8.5 pounds. Kiki came to us a mess with a severe fungal infection on her skin and a huge mammary tumor and hernia along with some dental issues. All have been resolved and Kiki is well on her way to a healthy happy life, even at 9 years of age. She does have bad knees (luxating patellas) in both rear legs but not bad enough to need surgery, she gets around just fine, does zoomies and runs around in the yard. She had surgery on hernia and tumor as well as a dental and was put on antibiotics for her skin for an entire month. Kiki’s skin is doing much better but she does have hair loss near her hind legs and bum that may or may not grow back. Kiki is super duper sweet once she gets to know you but if a stranger moves too fast with her and does not sweet talk her for a couple minutes first, she will pretend to nip, the ol’ chi chi warning air nip that says “I don’t want to bite you but I will”. Kiki has never bit anyone and is usually extremely well mannered and always wanting attention and love. No small children please. She is great with other animals and walks well on leash. Story
Persia is a little hot mess but I know she really wants to love adventure loved. She is apx 10 a12 years old and apx 8.5 to 9 lb. she is very afraid of everything. We are still learning the leash and harness. She will not willing come to you, you have to kind of corner her and then she will let you pick her up. Persia was neglected in her past. Her coat is sparse and she had a dental but only has 6 teeth left. She eats wet food once a day and nibbles on kibble a couple times a day as well. She is quiet, sweet and very good with other dogs however food aggressive with her wet food only. She needs to eat her wet food separately. Persia is not ready for the big scary world of walks and toddlers and hyper big dogs, not ready for social events and parties or anything of the sort. What Persia needs is a low key quiet home with someone that likes to cuddly and watch television or read books. She is very cat like. She will go potty outside or on a pad but is not ready for walks so would need a small fenced area outdoors. I know Persia has it on her to blossom and grow, to learn to trust and be a bit more confident, she just needs a chance. No small children please. Persia can travel. Story
Marty the mini Coyote. 2 years old and ten pounds. Don’t let the grey muzzle fool you, he is actually very young and very vibrant. Marty has lots of energy, loves going for walks, kennels well, runs fast and does lots of zoomies. He is not overly barkey and loves people including well mannered children. He is persnickety with his dog company though and tends to be the dominant male dog. He does not do well with large dogs or other male dogs and prefers either female dogs or to be the only dog. He ignores the cats for the most part but will sometimes chase them. Marty is food aggressive and needs to be fed separately. He is a great dog to take on adventures and rides well in the car. He is very much a people dog and not so much a dog that wants to be part of a pack. He needs some work but he is a good boy and we hope we can find the right home for him. Marty can travel. Story
Our sweetest little Polliwog. She is 10 years young and a wee 3.5 pounds big. She has birth defects in front limbs and possibly a bit in her rear limbs as well. She is a special girl and has zero problems with mobility. She walks in the grass and up and down the dog stairs to get in the human bed or sleep in the sun spot on the couch. Polliwog does have a bit of arthritis which is to be expected at her age and with her limbs already have a deformation. She does not ever appear to be in pain and although she walks like she has socks on that are ten sizes too big, she walks all over and does just as well as any other tiny dog her age. Polliwog is basically perfect. She is great with other animals, cats and dogs and older children. Because of her size and age we ask no small children please. Polliwog is not potty trained in the slightest, so that will be a work in progress however she will not go potty on the furniture and she does sleep in bed through the night.
