Liam, a small tan and brown Chihuahua, is quite a character. When visitors approach his kennel, he acts like a big, tough dog. He barks, stamps his tiny feet and looks like he is mean and ferocious. It is all an act! What this little guy really wants is attention. Liam loves people! He loves being carried and will jump from the ground into your arms. He likes to cuddle and can con anyone into carrying him. When he initially came to us he has been fostered on weekends and his foster family says he is an entirely different dog outside of the shelter. He doesn't bark and loves being held like a baby. Liam does not like children and needs to be in an all adult home.Liam came back to the shelter recently because his adoptive family is moving and adopting a child. He is a runner so he will need a fenced yard to keep him safely home. He likes other small dogs and plays well with them and he is a relatively good walker. Amira is a young adult Chihuahua. She is very smart and playful. She loves exploring, especially on the beach. When she sleeps, she likes to be close to her person and sometimes under a blanket. Like many Chihuahuas, she is a bit nervous. When introducing yourself to her, she prefers that she come to you. Amira is a loyal dog once she trust you. She still has some puppy tendency like chewing on hard objects. She would do well in an active home with children that are over 8 years old and mature. She has had positive interactions with larger dogs and seems to do well.
