Story
*** We are putting Joey's availability on hold for a bit. We are still interested to hear from interested homes meeting her needs as per below, but she may not be leaving her foster for a bit. *** Joey Is ready for prime time, with some guidance! She came to us from LA and has been spayed and had a recent dental cleaning. We're getting her healed up and ready for her new home with a real food diet (raw and cooked), supplements, the care of a Portland Holistic Veterinarian and lots of TLC. She is ready for that holistic minded home. Some notes aside from the above: She’s a snuggler and wants to be right there next to you in bed. She’s a “4-legged tripod”. Although she has all 4 legs, one hind leg is deformed and she uses it on occasion. She has separation anxiety and is a talented escape artist!! She seems to be ok with respectful dog and cat housemates. Not sure about kids. She’s mostly potty-trained, but has accidents now and then...going outside in the rain, really??? Joey is patient and will wait for the right holistic home as long as it takes.

Story
Meet Sarah Jessica Barker, SJB for short. She came to CARE from the city shelter with her little family of 5. SJB has been in a foster home with us since leaving the shelter and we have really enjoyed getting to learn more about her. She is super friendly and playful but also pretty lowkey for the most part. She does very well with other dogs of all sizes and so far has been very uninterested in the cats. Her foster mom tells us that she has progressed very well with potty and leash training . She thinks SJB would do best in a home with a furry playmate and of course a very loving family! If you think Sarah Jessica Barker is meant to be part of your family and you are interested in learning more and speaking with her adoption coordinator and foster mom to learn more about her please fill out an application at www.caretx.org/adopt. This dog was rescued from a kill shelter or the streets and has been evaluated for medical and temperament to prepare for a forever home and is in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas* and is ready to fly to its final destination once adopted. The adoption fee of $850 covers spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and air transport. Please email Emily at adoptions@caretx.org if you have any question. * CARE rescue is in San Antonio, TX where we have a serious pet overpopulation situation. CARE is a non profit 501c3 rescue that has been saving lives for over 9 years and with your adoption, we can help save even more deserving urgent adoptable pets! We fly our pets to approved adopters all over the US, especially in low kill and no kill markets where there is a demand for rescue pets!

Story
Meet Noemi, this little one year old Terrier blend is about 15lbs of love. She was found as a stray and wound up in a rural shelter in Uvalde TX before coming to us.
