Meet ISABELLA & LOLA!! Isabella and Lola are senior sisters who came to us after they found themselves in an Indiana shelter at no fault of their own. Can we say GEMS? If we didn't know their ages we would have guessed them to be 6 years old and no older. Isabella and Lola are still very spry for their ages. They love to go for walks and enjoy the outdoor breeze or stay in their cozy home and play with their toys. They are two very sweet girls who have tons of affection to shower you with. These girls are up to date on their vaccinations, are heartworm negative, and have both been spayed. Story
MEET CRISTA!! Crista is a 5 year-old spayed female Chow Chow who was rescued from Tennessee by way of Georgia, and came here to live in Connecticut. Unfortunately she has periodically attacked her fur brother (she is definitely the Alpha), and so to protect him, we are searching for a one-dog home for her. Crista has made tremendous strides, physically and emotionally in the past year, and is now a loving and affectionate dog that flips over for tummy rubs. When she initially arrived in CT she looked to be a mixed breed, despite her all-black mouth, due to her short and unhealthy coat, and the fact she weighed 25 pounds. Yet from her current photos it is easy to see she is definitely a purebred Chow now that her beautiful golden coat has grown back in and she has gained 20 pounds. Crista is totally content with her own company and adores being outside for hours, so any perspective adopter should have a fenced in back yard. Unlike many Chows, Crista also loves to play with stuffed toys and will carry them outside with her, tossing them up in the air and chasing them about, or holding one in her mouth while shaking it back and forth. She is great on a leash and looks forward to at least one walk a day with her person, even if she has been outdoors all day. Crista is very good with other dogs, large and small, as long as she doesn’t have to share her home with one. She is up to date with all her vaccinations, heartworm negative and ready to find her forever home. Toby is a wonderful, playful, funny, handsome, young dog, dob 7/4/18, and LOVES to be your closest companion. He has the most beautiful, black silky coat that really doesn’t shed much. He was adopted from one of our wonderful local animal shelters. Toby came from Georgia. He was crate trained, but it was only needed/used for about six months. He sleeps on his own (floor) bed. Although, if your choice is your bed to share...he’s (on)! There is no end to playing catch with his favorite Kong. Toby responds well to training. He has never chewed on anything other than what is given to him...minus a sock or two :). Grateful for that!! Toby likes to makes friends with all dogs he meets. LOVES car rides! Toby deserves only a home and family, whether it’s one or many members, that will provide love, love, stability, love, structure, fun and tons of love! 😇
