Story
Bear is a great dog! Loves to give kisses and cuddles and play fetch. He's not so good with young kids or small animals.. I'm willing to bring him to you but I do require an interview to make sure he finds a good home! He's about 7-8 but still has a bunch of energy! He loves walks or just running and playing. He really is a great dog I just can't have him around my babies ... He comes with TONS of stuff! And TONS of love!

Story
Lil'Mamma was a puppy from a previous dog. She's very playful loves to be rubbed and run around. She doesn't bite on things anymore but in a new place she will mark her territory by going to the bathroom inside at least once. She will love you as much as you love her. She also loves kids. She's not use to being in a cage she is use to being in the house. Currently sleeps in the bed or under the bed with me.

Story
This beautiful girl is Angel. She is a Chow mix who weighs about 45lbs.  She was an owner surrender (I know, I know), but I think y’all will understand why we took her in. Angel was adopted by her family as a puppy, and she lived with them her whole life.  They went through some hard times, and she was always by their side.  She was deeply loved.  Tragically, a few months ago, her dad’s house was burned down by an intentional act of arson, by another family member.    YUP.  Angel was actually partially burned in the fire as well.  Her dad lost everything. Angel’s dad had nowhere to keep her, but he couldn’t bear to let her go to a shelter.  She is about 13 y/o, and he was afraid of what would happen to her.  He literally cried and begged a neighbor to keep her until he could figure out where she could go.  His neighbor found us and asked if we could help.  Unfortunately, we were full at the time, but he agreed to keep her for a couple weeks until we could take her in. It was so hard for Angel’s dad to surrender her to us.  It wasn’t a perfect situation, but I know she was loved and that he was doing the best he could by her.  We promised him that we’d take good care of her and make sure she was safe, always.  Angel is already spayed and up to date on shots.  She does have decreased kidney function, so she’s on a special diet, and we are monitoring that with our veterinary team.  When she stabilizes a little more, she will need a dental, and she has a benign cyst that needs removal.  She also had some flea allergies and lost some fur off her back, which is thankfully starting to grow back in.  She will hopefully be ready to go to her Forever Family here soon.  She is quiet, easy going and tolerant, and prefers to spend her days napping in the sun. **NO SMALL CHILDREN** ##570263##

For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. We are open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line. Story
Goldie is a 3 year old Chow/Boxer mix, only 40 lbs. She's housebroken, very loving and doesn't meet a stranger - this girl loves everyone! Her owner had to move and couldn't take Goldie with her. Goldie is a friend to all and is great with kids too. She loves to play, loves tennis balls and has a lot of personality. She would LOVE to have a fenced yard to run and play in. She likes leash walks too. Goldie is current on shots and also spayed. Goldie's just waiting for the right home now, is that you? She desperately needs a foster home as well.
