Story
Pearlie is a beautiful 11-year old chow mix (so they say), who enjoys eating and sleeping. She has been a joy since we got her as a puppy and she is loved dearly. We got her from the South Suburban Human Society when she was 6-months old and though she is a senior dog now, she is still a calm, great dog who pretty much loves everyone. Even with her tail wagging, she is slow to get up and no longer runs like she used to because of arthritis. She has an autoimmune issue that causes her skin to be irritated, but with cream and medicated baths, she has some comfort. She needs a home that has minimum stairs and attention to keep her comfortable. If she stays on eating schedule, she rarely has indoor accidents, but with her aging, I'm not sure how long this will last. So far, so good....

Story
Archie is a Good Boy, but he has really not responded well to the new baby. I don't think this is the best home for him anymore. We adopted him about four years ago from a shelter here in Chicago. From the word "go", he was our household court jester. He is a tail chaser and definitely not destined for doggy-Mensa. He likes belly rubs, butt scratches, but WILL NOT ABIDE having his nails clipped (so unless you are a dog-whisperer in this respect, you are much better outsourcing this to a groomer or vet). He definitely has quite a history from his life before he was with us. He has a missing tooth and a scar on his stomach. Strangely enough, he has a beebee lodged in his "private area." We think this may be why he gets riled by fireworks or cars backfiring :(. He just needs a happy, energetic, baby-free house to call home, ideally with an owner willing to put the work into training. (Only people who love face-kisses and goofballs need apply.)
