Tasha is a great dog! You do not want to miss out getting her if you want a wonderful companion. She is a very very sweet, gentle, calm dog with a friendly, loving personality! She walks well on a leash and plays nicely with other dogs. Tasha comes to Animal Lovers of Edisto after being surrendered by her owner, who could not afford to have Tasha spayed or vaccinated. Story
Oakley is currently 5 years old. He is a beautiful mixed breed dog, possibly chow chow and Rottweiler mix. He is a big teddy bear with strangers. He is also a great guard dog when it comes to alerting us when there a suspicious activity outside. We rescued Oakley as a puppy. We realized right a way that he was on the aggressive side when it came to possessing certain toy items and treats. We took him to training classes as a puppy and he had a very difficult time during the classes. We tried training him multiple times not to be very possessive and aggressive. He is a very smart dog and can follow commands, other than when it comes to him being possessive toward a toy or treat. We are wanting to have children sometime soon and greatly fear he could hurt a child due to him being highly possessive. We are wanting him to go to the right family though. It is a very difficult decision because he is one of our pets, but we believe it is the best decision for him and us.

Story
Oakley (5 yo) was rescued by a private rescue business in NY. The was rescued from a kill shelter as a puppy 7 week old puppy along with his litter in Atlanta, GA. We were told at the time that he was half Labrador mix breed. Through the years of watching him grow, we believe that he is Chow Chow and Rottweiler mix due to his strong characteristics. He always has had anxiety and is very possessive and aggressive with dog treats and his toys. He loves people and cats, but not other dogs. We are always traveling and have tried to have him travel with us with negative results. He also has a very very hard time when leave to go on vacation and we hire a dog sitter to stay at the house instead of boarding him. He is potty trained and only has messed inside the house once in his entire life. It does well with commands and is a very intelligent dog. He is up to date on his shots and is micro-chipped. I would rather re-home him to a responsible dog loving person then to bring him to a shelter.

Delilah is a very sweet, active girl who enjoys hanging around people! She's quite a social butterfly! Looking for a star in your life? Audition her, you'll find the ticket to a life time of happiness in this year old female.
