Meet Oreo, Oreo is a 7 year old Cocker/ English Springer Spaniel mix. He is a handsome, sweet and goofy boy! He enjoys hanging out with his people, goin on walks, and sniffing the sniffs. His favorite pastime is sun bathing, napping on his bed in the coolness of his home, and spending time with his family. Oreo is great with other dogs but he hasn’t met any cats yet. He is crate trained, house trained, and ready to live his best life! Oreo came to us from a fellow rescuer. Oreo would love to have a fenced yard but does not require one and people not gone long hours as he will want to be a big part of your life! Oreo is full grown at about 30 lbs. All Lovejoy Foundation dogs and puppies can be seen at our weekend adoption events Saturday and Sunday from 11am-5pm. Keep in mind our adoption events take place in an outside venue, with wet weather, high winds, and chilly temperature we would not hold a normal event, so please call ahead before coming 310-719-5707. Canelo was born on August 4,2018 his mother Bella has been with me for 10 years so I thought it was time to have another dog so I kept Canelo he was the first of three puppies she had that litter, now fast forward a year now and while having two dogs seemed ideal my land lord thinks otherwise which is why I am looking to re home him through adoption he’s the perfect companionship, very playful dog loves to run around outside whether it’d be at the front or someone’s backyard he enjoys the outdoors once he’s tired he loves to nap. He has no bad habits he gets along with other dogs and children he has never bit anyone or another dog. He’s not fully potty trained which is why he stays in a crate with pads around the floor or gets to go outside often to pee. I’m sure with practice he should be able to be fully trained. Adrian comes from a kill shelter after he was found wandering the streets. His solid black, shiny, beautiful wavy coat and mannerisms suggest that he is pure breed. He is a fun, easygoing guy, full of personality, sweet, loving, happy. Easy to meet. He enjoys walks, not so much car rides, and definitely does not like to be in enclosed places, gets very anxious. He does have a cataract in his left eye and is prone to ear infections as cockers tend to be. Otherwise healthy and no regular medications . Also needs foster home which is a great way to try out a dog you might want to keep.

Story

Shadow is a very lovely dog. I’ve have never heard of a dog go through so much in a span of a few years like Shadow did. My family got Shadow as a gift for my mother who had stage 4 breast cancer. My father then took care of Shadow until he passed away about 7 years after my mother’s passing. I’m currently taking care of shadow but I unfortunately am leaving for university soon. Shadow is about 8 years old and is very friendly. Shadow not only likes to jump for joy but he always follows you like your own shadow, hence his name. Shadow really likes to be around others, he’s a bit energetic but it’s all in a dog’s good heart. Shadow would need a home with a backyard for him to play and run around in. Shadow loves to go out for walks and loves to play with tennis balls. Shadow is well behaved and only has some trouble with using the restroom where he shouldn’t. Shadow is a loyal dog, he would always stand by your side no matter what.
