Story
Reggie was born Born on June 07, 2011 and has a profile created here (8 years) https://www.petly.com/group/petly/home#) at Petly but App but not tons of information as I am a busy Dad with 3 kids. Short story is that he was abused and I took him in and have tried very hard to help him adjust. He would bite at times after picking him up but also be just a sweet loving dog so I have tried. I can explain much more in detail when contacted about him and his problems. I just recently have been battling with Cancer and have decided that my dog would do better with someone who can help him with his aggression at times and needs. He would probably do great at a farm he is very energetic and loves toys. Rubber balls are his favorite. He is very fast and can jump very high. He can sit and listen at times very well and then take off after another animal weather a dog or fox there is no stopping him at times. Anyway with my recent struggles I am hoping to rehome him.

Story
Ruby is an 8'ish year old, 28 pounds adorable cocker mix with possibly a basset hound!  She is a darling girl from a Virginia shelter.  She walks nicely on the leash and rode quietly on transport. Sadly, Ruby is heart worm positive and needs life-saving OBG-sponsored treatment but is expected to make a full recover after treatment.  She is also good with other dogs but not tested with cats yet.  She is house trained and just an over sweet girl! Ruby recently had a few mammary masses removed and we are waiting on the biopsy results with our paws tightly crossed for good news! To learn more about this sweet girl, please email her foster Dad the link below.  She is located in northern Virginia.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
Hi!  My name is Johnny, and I am around 9-10 years old and weigh 33 pounds. My previous family loved me very much but due to extraordinary circumstances, they brought me back to OBG.  Of course, OBG welcomed me with open paws and I'm looking for my forever home. I enjoy hanging out with other dogs and ignore the cat in my foster home.  I am house trained but will need a mid-day potty break if you work during the day.  I have excellent car-riding manners and walk well on the leash.  Also, I love belly rubs.  One last item, I don't hear that good, but it doesn't slow me down at all.  I was recently diagnosed with Cushing's Disease and take a daily pill and will need weekly medicated baths. I have a little arthritis in my back legs so a place with fewer steps is ideal or if you don't mind carrying me, I'll happily accept the lift! If you are interested in adopting me, please email my foster at the link below. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
Angus is a middle aged guy who came to our rescue almost 2 years ago. He had a bad leg and it was recommended it be amputated. He was also discovered to be visually impaired. He is a foster/rescue favorite and has blossomed in his foster home. He began using his bad leg more and more and as he's in no pain, it was recommended to leave his leg. He loves to explore outside and play with house mates or lay on sofa close to his foster family. Crate trained, house trained with belly band. Approx 25 lbs. Neutered and utd on shots. He's thought to be a Cocker Spaniel mix. He is timid with strangers and it takes time for Angus to feel comfortable in new environments and with new people. We're looking for a very special home for our sweet man Angus. As cute as he looks furry, he will need proper grooming several times a year for his comfort. He will steal your heart. Please visit doubledogdarerescue.org to fill out an application to adopt Angus.

I have been in my foster home for about 2 months, gotten spiffed up and am living a life of good things. I am a good boy, and I get along great with my cocker brother. I am housebroken, and after some refresher training and getting my medicine right, I am rockin' it. Once my hair finishes growing back in, I'm going to be &#194&#147stunning&#194&#148 (whatever that means) but in the meantime, I'll settle for cute-even though I look a little like a raccoon. My favorite toy is a tennis ball that is all my own. Even though my sight is not perfect, I still love chasing the ball. It hits me on the head, so I know to chase it. My smell is so good that I can smell mine even when it's on the floor with other ones. If I can't find anyone to play, I toss it over my head and then run for it. So, if you would like an older gentleman who is smart, trained, and very lovable, please check me out. INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Buster, and I just arrived at CSAC from a shelter. I was found as a stray. I am a senior guy looking for someone to take care of me in my golden years. I was found to have ear infections and a skin infection. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I have cataracts, but that does not slow me down. Everyone says I am gentle and sweet. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished pet for the remainder of my years. I need love, quality food, and a soft pillow to rest my head. Can you give an old guy a home? For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation.
