Story
Meet Lucy! She is a 7-year-old Cocker Spaniel who has spent her enough tire life as a puppy mill breeding mamma. She is now in a loving foster home and finally experiencing the life she has always deserved. Lucy is learning about all of the great things that freedom has to offer – soft dog beds, good food, a warm home, and gentle snuggles. Lucy is quite shy yet, but is making progress every day. She will need a patient, understanding family that is willing to give her time to settle in and bond with them. Despite her past she is as sweet as can be! Lucy is good with other dogs and cats, so she wouldn’t mind sharing her new home with some siblings. She will also need a fenced yard where she can safely exercise and explore - walking on a leash is just too scary right now. Lucy will make a loving companion, if someone will just give her the chance. Please email Teresa at foreverhome4paws@gmail.com if you are interested in giving Lucy the love and attention of a forever family that she has missed out on for so long.

Story
Jasper is currently fostered in Mentor Ohio, and his adoption fee/donation is $250 Jasper has Cardiomyopathy with regurgitation and is on meds for it. He is also on medication for seizures and he is having none. He also has a grade 4 heart mur mur and is scheduled to see a cardiologist again mid November We will know more about his condition once he has this visit Jasper is a 2 yr old male cocker spaniel that came to us from a puppymill. Jasper is a super sweet boy, loving and affectionate, but also somewhat timid. He is getting used to life outside of a puppymill, but it will take him a bit to adjust to being a pet in a home setting. He is currently on medication and doing well, acts like a puppy and plays without symptoms. Housetraining is in process, but that too can take time with mill dogs. Applications will be accepted and reviewed in the mean time. Jasper is neutered and up to date on vaccines, as well as heartworm negative. If you would like to adopt Jasper or would like more information on him, please fill out an adoption application We do not have a shelter, all rescues are in foster homes - Dogs are not shown without first being approved to adopt. Story
Tatianna is currently being fostered in the Hamilton Ohio area. Her adoption fee is minimal to an approved home. Tatianna is a 10yr old female cocker spaniel with vision loss due to cataracts. She gets around fine and appears to see well enough to avoid bumping into things. She came to our rescue from a shelter in Ohio where she was facing euthanasia. She and another cocker, (Cherokee) were surrendered to this shelter together because their owner was unable to care for them. They need to be adopted together as they depend on each other. Below is a note from her foster... Tatianna....she is a sweet girl, and would love a human of her own to snuggle with. Tatiana likes everything except cats. She does very well around other dogs. She’s potty trained, she likes her crate she loves to be outside and loves walks. Both dogs also do well in the car. I cannot say anything negative about Tatiana at all. She can be very energetic when you first meet her but she quickly calms down. She has a lot of spunk for her age. Tatianna is spayed, had a dental and is up to date on vaccines. If you would like to adopt Tatianna or would like more information on her, please fill out an adoption application We do not have a shelter, all rescues are in foster homes - Dogs are not shown without first being approved to adopt. Story
Cherokee is currently being fostered in the Hamilton Ohio area. Her adoption fee is minimal to an approved home. Cherokee is an 8 yr old female cocker spaniel. She is completely blind, due to her eyes being surgically removed. She came to our rescue from a shelter in Ohio where she was facing euthanasia. She and another cocker, (Tatianna) were surrendered to this shelter together because their owner was unable to care for them. They need to be adopted together as they depend on each other. Both girls had vision/eye issues, Cherokee had painful glaucoma, eyes badly swollen and had to have both of them surgically removed. She was already blind, so she has adjusted well to not having eyes. Below is a note from her foster... Cherokee… she is a sweet girl, and would love a human of her own to snuggle up with. She Likes to be around other dogs, cuddling, sleeping, completely housetrained, knows basic commands and listens well She does great in her crate and often will seek solace there during the day on her own Not certain if she’s aware there is a cat in the house but she doesn’t seem to pay attention on the few times he comes around. She likes to be outside and likes walks although she is very slow because she cannot see. I can’t really say anything that she does not like that we have encountered. She does growl, get snappy if she is sleeping and gets startled, which is not uncommon in blind dogs. She will only be placed in a home that has NO children. Cherokee is spayed, had a dental and is up to date on vaccines. If you would like to adopt Cherokee or would like more information on her, please fill out an adoption application We do not have a shelter, all rescues are in foster homes - Dogs are not shown without first being approved to adopt. Story
Pepper is currently fostered in Pittsburgh PA, and his adoption fee/donation is minimal to an approved adopter. Pepper is an 11 yr old male cocker spaniel, he came to us from a shelter where he was surrendered due to his owner passing away. Pepper is a very sweet and loving dog, he is a smart and loyal companion, he wants to be with his human all the time. He does not do well alone, and he can not be crated because it stresses him out, and he will make himself sick. He has some separation anxiety, and will cry, scratch at doors to get to his person. For this reason, we are looking for a home where someone is home all day, a retired person or couple that is just wanting a companion dog. Pepper gets along well with other dogs, and is completely housetrained. He can be very “vocal” and will bark when he wants something, such as to go outside, to potty, to eat, get a treat, or just wants to be with you on the couch. He sleeps in bed with his foster at night, and is very good with going right to sleep. Pepper does have some medical conditions, he has an old ACL tear injury, and a grade 4 heart murmur, as well as some flaky dry skin. He is not a candidate for ACL repair surgery, however his recent bloodwork showed him as being in the NORMAL range on all functions of the body. As far as his bloodwork, and his peppy/spunky personality, he appears younger than what he is, and the Vet thinks he could easily have more good years. Pepper is neutered, current on vaccines, had a recent dental cleaning, and is heartworm negative. If you would like to adopt Pepper or would like more information on him, please fill out an adoption application We do not have a shelter, all rescues are in foster homes - Dogs are not shown without first being approved to adopt. Story
Ace is currently being fostered in Marysville Ohio, and his adoption fee/donation is $250 Ace is a beautiful field bred English Cocker Spaniel, he came to our rescue as an owner surrender due to the small toddler in the home. He became very jealous of the child, and started growling at him. Because of this history, we will ONLY place him in an ADULT ONLY home. Ace is a nice boy, he loves to play with his toys, and enjoys going for walks. He does have a bit of an Alpha male personality, but does well with training and positive reinforcement. His previous owner never used him for hunting, however he does have a prey drive, and will hunt birds, squirrels, etc when out in the yard. He is very intelligent, and easily could be trained as a hunting partner. Ace gets along well with other dogs, and is house & Crate trained. He does well also when meeting new people. He is a good dog, but again does carry the Alpha male personality, so he will need a strong leader that will be firm but fair with him in his training. Ace is neutered up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. If you would like to adopt Ace or would like more information on him, please fill out an adoption application We do not have a shelter, all rescues are in foster homes - Dogs are not shown without first being approved to adopt. Story
Hi all, I'm Ivy, a 3 year old orange and white roan girl. I'm particular in that I only like women and maybe only the one I like. I'm very affectionate with the woman I chose, in fact, I'm hungry for attention. I live in a home with other dogs and cats which I get along with very well. My foster Dad is very good to me, gives me treats but for whatever reason, I won't let him pet or get near me which makes him very sad. I'm housebroken, spayed, UTD, as well as flea/tick and heartworm prevention. I like to run in the yard, ride good in the car, taking walks and twirl. In fact, my Foster Mom laughingly calls me her whirling dervish and that I make her dizzy.  If you think you might be my one and only woman, please consider filling out an application online,  https://nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application. After filling out the application, your State coordinator will be in touch to follow up and complete the application process. Not sure who your State coordinator is? Find their information here:https://nbran.org/about/state-provincial-coordinators Ohio/Ivy's adoption fee is $375.00 which will help NBRAN cover vetting costs and other expenses associate with bringing Brits like Ivy back to good health and readying them for adoption. Don't live in Ohio or close. No Problem! NBRAN has a wonderful transport team who will help bring Ohio/Ivy to her new family, up to 1,400 miles with the adoptive family being responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional fee. Contact Vivian at grtpyrlover@gmail.com or Gaye at BeauBrit2@aol.com for more information or to help answer your questions, but the first step is to complete the application process. Thank you!

Story
Hi there!  It's me...Becca!  I am ½ of an amazing pair of Brittanys and we are looking for our forever home…. TOGETHER.  My sister Britta and I used to live outside all the time but now we know what it’s like to sleep inside and we like it! I like to sleep in the room with my people but prefer a dog bed on the floor beside you.  I like people, but I like my own space too.  (you can cuddle with my sister though!)  I like to be outside and watch the birds and the critters.  We have a doggie door and a huge fenced yard so I can come and go so a fenced yard for me is a must.  I love to eat.  I was very sick when I had heart worms and was skinny…but I’m better now and I’m making up for lost time.  I love to take your socks and to steal things off the counter when foster mom isn’t looking.  I also pull on a leash when I walk.  Hey…no one is perfect right?  Like my sister Britta I'm pretty zippy for my age so I like walks and running outside to burn some steam. I like my foster family, but I can be nervous around new people that come to the house.  I just bark at them a bit…that’s all.  Foster mom says I'm "discriminating".  I am spayed, up to date on all my vaccinations and overall very healthy.  So if you are looking for a great couple of Brittanys to join your family….we are your girls.  We will only go to our new home together…. together forever!  Our adoption fee, as we are seniors, is $200 US each or if you are a senior too it’s $100 US each.  We are located near London, Ontario, Canada but NBRAN can transport us up to 2200 kms or 1400 miles.  If you are interested, please submit an application and our people will get in touch with you.  http://www.nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application For more information about Becca (and Britta) please contact sandratoal18@gmail.com We will NOT consider splitting up this pair. They have been together their entire lives.

Story
Well hello there! I’m Britta and I’m 10.5 years old.  I am ½ of an amazing pair of Brittanys and we are looking for our forever home…. TOGETHER.  My sister Becca and I used to live outside all the time but since we’ve lived in foster care we’ve learned to love to be inside and hang with our people.  We like all people...me especially and I will stick by your side, follow you around the house, sit beside you on the couch and snuggle with you in bed. I like to be taken for walks, but I get excited and pull on the leash.  Walks are exciting…what can I say?  I also like toys…stuffies are the best.  I like to unstuff them.  I have a high prey drive so I shouldn’t live with a cat. My sister Becca and I would love a home where it’s just us and our humans.  More love for us.   We are very active for our age and love to run outside.  Don't be fooled by the white in our face...we are young at heart! I used to have nasty heart worms in me, but NBRAN got me all fixed up and they are gone.  I am spayed, up to date on all my vaccinations and overall very healthy.  So if you are looking for aperfect pair of Brittanys to join your family….we are your girls.  We will only go to our new home together…. together forever!  Our adoption fee, as we are seniors, is $200 US each but if you are a senior too it’s $100 US each.  We are located near London, Ontario, Canada but NBRAN can transport us up to 2200 kms or 1400 miles.  If you are interested, please submit an application and our people will get in touch with you.  http://www.nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application For more information about Britta (and Becca) please contact sandratoal18@gmail.com We will NOT consider splitting up this pair.
