If you would like to make an appointment to meet April, please contact Rose: 440-823-4614April is a 4yo Coonhound mix who weighs 45lbs. She is a really sweet girl who loves to be pet. She is new to the shelter and she is a little unsure of things. She would do well with a family who will give her lots of love and some time to adjust. She is a beautiful girl with gorgeous markings and the prettiest eyes, and of course she has those amazing Hound Dog Ears.April seems to do well with other dogs, but we do require a meet and greet at our shelter with any family dogs before adopting just to make sure they're a good fit.Click on "play" to see April's video.

He has a happy go-lucky attitude and is willing to do whatever you are doing. And he is a big boy at 93 pounds so older children would be preferred. If you have a dog, contact us to schedule a meet and greet to do an interaction. Otherwise if you are looking for an extremely friendly companion to self-isolate with, please contact us at dogadoptions@parmashelter.org to meet our boy Hunter. You will not regret it and you will make our boy Hunter happy again. His adoption fee is $85.   Our happy hound Hunter has been in a foster home for over a week now.  And boy is he enjoying life and the couch!  While in foster, we have learned that Hunter is house trained, is dog friendly, and absolutely LOVES car rides, so much so, that he will wait by the car to hop in.  Hunter has been the best house guest according to his foster.  Hunter learned the household routine quickly and without a hitch.  We are still doing adoptions by appointment only.  If you are interested in meeting Hunter, please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and schedule one today.  Hunter is still on the hunt for a forever home.  He is 7 years old, 93 pounds and just a happy boy all around.  No cats or small pets for this guy.            Like Parma Animal Shelter on FACEBOOK and help pass the word about our adoptable guests!  Don't forget to share pictures with your friends!  Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/ParmaAnimalShel

This goofy boy is General. He came from an overcrowded dog pound and has made friends with many since arriving with FIDO. He is approx. 2 years old and 55 lbs. He is great with other dogs and overall highly social. Like your typical hound he follows his nose so a fenced in yard would be great for this boy. Adoption fee 150.00

I am very loving,loyal, and laid back. I am low maintenance , but need to be the only dog in the home. I am dog selective and was not good with the other dog in my home.I have discovered I like some, but not all dogs.I am an alpha, so I need a leader type that will let me know I am not the boss.I know many commands:sit ,wait,down,paw,touch,look and place. I do tricks too:spin,bow down,wave, and fist bump. I enjoy going on walks and being outside.I walk nicely on leash.A fenced yard would be nice. Then I wouldn't need to be walked. I can be left alone loose in your house, while you are at work, without being destructive. I love all people and I am fine with children  6 and up. Please give me a chance. I was lost and ended up in the dog pound. I don't like 4 wheelers, because that is the last I saw of my person driving away. No one came to claim me, so I am now with the rescue looking for a new home. I am a quick learner and am getting this down.I am fine with dogs, but no way to cats. I am not crazy about toddlers either. They can visit, but don't live with me please. I know the dog door, out into the fenced yard. A couple runs around the yard and I am happy to come in and lay down.However, if I smell something I will still go for the hunt.A fenced yard will be necessary, to take a few laps in. Stretching my long legs is important. I love the bed more than anything here. I am a mellow fellow and a smart boy. I am partial to men, but like women too.I will wait patiently for you all day, while you are at work. I am at that porch sitting point in my life, with you in a rocker. Can you picture it?
