Story
Introducing Maverick JC Dis is my gimme dem tacos face. I too like tacos. What??? That is too a taco. Pita bread counts as taco, I know a taco when I seed one. C'mon, gimme it. *Foster Mom gives him one niblet of chicken from her pita sandwich* See I knew it, this is chicken taco. I knew it. Tastes jus like chicken taco. *Meanwhile, the cats in the other room have a little discussion "goodness, dogs are such idiots, everyone knows a taco versus a pita bread, he probably thinks hotdogs are tacos too. But I still appurrrrve of this dog, he is a nice dog despite being completely unfurrrrmiliar with obvious diffurrrrence between food groups.* Foster Mommy calls me Maverick. I am 7 months old in March and around 30 lbs, so I might grow to 50 something pounds. At my Foster Home, I met some kitties and they like me, they like me so much. Foster Mommy gibs me toys, but I really prefer playing with my canine buds over solitaire with a toy. My favorite is playing outside in the yard with my furry siblings. Foster Mommy says you don't have to know the difference between a taco and a chicken pita sammich to be a good boy. I know good boy stuff like be nice to dogs, be nice to cats, be nice to the rugs and don't pee pee on dem, don't pee pee on rugs, or dogs or cats for that matter. Foster Mommy also says I am a good mid energy doggie, not too wild. I am part Lab and maybe part Hound, I have a chocolate liver colored coat with ranch dressing stripes...yummy, I am yummy. I love food. I will do anything for a food. Most Labs are very food muttivated and I am not throwing the stereotype off. I also love doing walkies and making all the friends. Everybuddy is invited to be my friend. Be sure to bring the tacos when you come over. Basics: Maverick JC GDR-A-3734- male, 7 months (in March 2020), will likely be med/large maybe 50lb range, Lab/Coonhound mix, chocolate subtle brindle coat, good with dogs, good with cats, good with kids, food motivated, mid energy, friendly, playful, pretty good on leash/potty/crate training, goof ball, great all around dog Local adoption fee $250.00 (within Texas) Out of State adoption fee $500.00 (with transport out of Texas)

Story
Meet Elvis WM and look at his transfurmation..... 'Sup people, my name is Elvis and I am 'upposed to break into a rendition of He Ain't Nuthin But a Hound Dog by THE Elvis Presley...as that is how I gots my name.... but I am gonna rock the boat and not be a clich. (if you do want to hear me speak in hound dog, try trimming my nails, I might just howl you a lil tune.) I am more feeling like my theme jam is Ariana Grande's "Thank you, Next song. It really hits home when she says you can't look at life about what you've lost, you have to look at what you've gained and I've gained A LOT. And I am not jus talking weight. I gained a Foster Pop and family that taught me that even a lost scrawny stray guy like me deserves love. I am up to 70 pounds, but you should check out my BEFORE photo to see the difference, some might even call me pleasantly plump now and whelp, I cannot complain. I am a 4 year old American Bulldog/Boxer mix. My Foster Pop has the DNA report to prove it. Foster Pop says I am a goof ball, but one time auto correct changed that up to good ball, and really that was a Freudian slip, because I am indeed a GOOD and GOOF ball all rolled into one handsome enchilada....yum enchilada! I am described as a gentle giant. I love lounging around with other dogs. I am kennel trained, but most of the time I sleep on the floor, with a pillow of course, now that I know about soft, I cannot get enuff. Some of my other enjoyments are hugs, cuddles, and toys. I also know the word SIT. I am potty trained too, I did have a few accidents when I first got here, but Foster Pop assured me that is fairly normal since I was a street dog before. So what's next for me? If my current situation is any indication of how a dog's life should really be, I am really looking furward to the future and I see lots of cronchs, cuddles and good boys in my future. Can you adopt me? GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter - Our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area.
