More sadness out of CA but thank goodness we were able to help these sweet babies. We had a lovely person reach out to us & ask could we please help Donald & his siblings. At first we did not know how many babies there were but it turned out to be a total of 10 babies who needed help. Yes that’s right, 10. Donald is your typical goofy puppy who plays all day with his siblings, eats, plays some more, poops then takes a nap & is back at it again. In his foster home in CA he did amazing with the cat & could care less about it. Donald does of course love to eat & he is going to grow into such a big beautiful boy so this should be kept in mind when applying for him. Donald loves toys & anything he can get his mouth on to chew. When applying for Donald please keep in mind he will need to be taught his puppy manners & that he is a chewer. Donald sleeps with his siblings & plays with them all day so it’s mandatory he goes to a home with another playful dog or dogs. Donald would do best in a home where he is with his family most of the day, if he could go to work with them that would be great or if he is going to be at home another dog must be present in his forever home. Donald is being taught to walk on a harness & leash but still has a lot of learning ahead of him. Donald is roughly 35 lbs, 7 months old, possibly a coonhound mix, male, neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, heart worm negative, dewormed 3 times & had several flea treatments. Donald has been around cats since being in the rescue & did great but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. We have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children. As with all of our rescues he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family must be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Donald & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Donald has adoption fee of $785

Story
We have reached the point where we have realized that our 2 1/2 year old fixed male Black & Tan Coonhound Alfred will be better off in a new home. We have invested lots of love and effort to address the main issue for us - food and resource guarding. The main problem is that I now have to travel for work and Alfred is proving to be a challenge for my wife.   It is totally manageable when I am home, but is just not working when I am gone. He is not aggressive with other dogs or people whatsoever. It is only the very specific feeding situation. I feel very confident that with the right owner and attention Alfred can become his best self. We are wondering if there is someone out there whose is looking for a new best friend.

Story
Meet super gorgeous Summer! This 55lb 2-year-old is super friendly, happy and extremely bouncy! Summer has a lot of energy and gets excited over people and play! Summer loves people and can’t wait for a family of her own. Summer is an active and she loves to run- she will make a great exercise partner. Rescued out of South Korea by Greyhound Pets Inc in Woodinville, Summer is just the best and most beautiful girl ever. She has tons of personality and is so affectionate! Summer gets along great with the other greyhounds just no kitties for this little one. The GPI volunteers are perfecting her leash skills and she is so eager to please. Summer is a crate trained and house trained and just such an awesome girl. She is vaccinated and spayed and micro-chipped but not suitable for an apartment/condo/townhome because the girl can leap! She’d love to leap into your arms and your home, so to meet her please contact Kathy at Greyhound Pets, kkreyling11@yahoo.com. Summer is waiting!
