Story
Our girl ZUKI is a gorgeous young lady of about 2 years old. Our vet guesses she is part Corgi. ZUKI weighs 13 pounds and is indeed very attractive! She does have a few quirks, though, so please read on to see if she is a potential fit for you. If stressed, she will chase her tail frantically. If you try to intercede and stop her, she doesn't like it and may snap or growl. If left alone she will stop on her own quickly. At first that was the only thing she was doing. Now, she has become more unpredictable. Most times she is friendly with us that she knows. But occasionally she will growl and seem as though she may bite. For this reason we are saying no children and also no other pets as she is happiest alone and we don't want to add any unnecessary stress to her new living situation. If you have experience in owning and training dogs and would like to check ZUKI out, please go to our website to fill out an application. You will have a 2 week trial period, so if for any reason ZUKI doesn't work out within that period you can return her for a full refund. RE-homing fee is $200 CASH. If you're interested in adopting one of our dogs, please visit our website kritterkamprescue.com and fill out an adoption application. Adoption fee applies. Most Kritter Kamp Rescue dogs and older puppies are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and current on DHPP & RABIES vaccinations. Puppies who are too young for altering will be considered fosters until they reach 4-6 months. As soon as spay/neuter and rabies vacs are completed, the puppy's status will switch to adopted. Altering and rabies vacs are included in the adoption fee for young puppies PROVIDED THEY ARE COMPLETED WITHIN THE TERMS AND TIME LIMIT OF THE CONTRACT. Please visit our website at kritterkamprescue.com for more information and to fill out an adoption application. You can also contact us at kritter.kamp@yahoo.com or call (916) 691-1364. Thank you!

Story
Sarah -- Corgi Mix in HOSPICE CARE Meet Miss Sarah -- our newest HOSPICE dog (Breast Cancer).   Sarah has a forever fospice (foster-hospice) home with two of our volunteers.   Sarah is a 12 yr old, 15 lb Corgi and Longhaired Chihuahua Mix who joins us from San Jose Animal Care Center via the lovely volunteers of San Jose Animal Advocates   Oh sweet Sarah... where do we start? Well... Sarah has not been cared for in a long, long time. She was infested with fleas, filthy, had neglected dental issues and most of all she has mammary masses that are directly related to not being spayed (dog version of breast cancer).   Her current labwork shows that she is not healthy enough for pallative procedures like spay, lump removal and biopsy and dental work. We hope that with TLC that she will become healthy enough for these in a month or so so that we can give her some good time where she is loved and can sunbathe as much as she would like.   But either way she is warm, clean and loved and we are happy that Jenn and Steve stepped up to be this girl's last home.   It is only by donations from our wonderful supporters that we can give dogs like Sarah a beautiful sunset. You can support us in several ways.   Tax-deductible donations can be made at www.paypal.me/UOH or Venmo @umbrellaof-hoperescue   You can also buy one of our tees, tanks, sweatshirts, caps, bandannas or stickers here and all proceeds go into our medical fund https://tinyurl.com/pineappletee   #startastoryadopt #shelterpetlove #grownassadult We are on all social media at @umbrellaofhope and we invite you to follow us and share which helps more people see and adopt our pets.  To help our ALL VOLUNTEER team rescue more senior, special needs, medically needy and hospice animals (and a few 'typical' ones along the way, please consider making a tax-deductible (TAX ID 45-4103375) donation online at www.paypal.me/UOH or Venmo @umbrellaof-hoperescue or Zelle beourpet@gmail.com.   You can also buy tees, tanks. sweatshirts, hats and bandannas where all proceeds benefit our animals https://ruff-life-rescue-wear.myshopify.com/collections/umbrella-of-hope We also have an Etsy store where the merchandise is made by volunteers and supporters, changes regularly and 100% of the proceeds benefit our medical fund https://www.etsy.com/shop/Umbrellaofhope Amazon Wish List tinyurl.com/pineapplewish

Story
Darling Maya is a 6 year old, 18 pound, tri colored: white, tan and black Corgi mix? Mix being the key word. She needs a loving owner that will spoil her with love and healthy treats like carrots and apples. Her ideal weight is closer to 12 pounds. She put her paws on you to get your attention and would like to be a lap dog. Maya appears to be housebroken and goes out with you, when you tell her to go potty. This pretty girl has been bounced a lot in her life and will do best as an only dog with someone that works from home. She gets along fine with other dogs though gets irritated with them at times. She is content to be near you. She behaves well in the car and seems to walk well on leash. Maya is scheduled to be spayed and have a dental, she is microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Can you give this sweet lady the life she deserves? Maya will be a wonderful companion. OFFICEIf you are interested in this dog or would like more information please send me an Adoption QuestionnaireThank you We appreciate that you are interested in one or more of our dogs or cats for adoption. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link. Story
Helen is a happy, playful 2.5 year old Corgi mix. She's great with all other dogs big and small, and is great with people.  She is a China meat trade rescue, she has her own passport! She had distemper in China and she fully recovered at our safehouse. It affected her vision a little bit, but other than that she is totally fine. She loves to play with her toys and to go for walks, a very quiet dog, not a barker. She would do well in an apartment or a house. Spayed and up to date on her vaccines. She is looking for a family to call her own.   She's here at Jelly's Place, 2905 San Pablo Dam Rd, San Pablo CA 94803. Email for an appointment
