Daphne's bio coming soon! All of our pets start their journey in Memphis Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. In order to qualify for ALIVE’s program all of the following steps must be met: • You must be at least 24 years of age and be able to provide ALIVE with proof of age. • Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided. • If you currently rent, you must provide a landlord’s phone number and a copy of your executed lease. • All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed. • Allow an ALIVE Rescue Memphis representative into your home for a visit to insure that your home is safe for the potential new dog or cat. • Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and proper care for a pet. Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis in the Memphis area over 4 months of age is $275.00, a dog under 4 months of age is $300.00 and a cat is $150.00. Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis to the Nashville area is $325.00. The $325.00 adoption fee includes transport to the Nashville area. Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis to the Chicago area is $475.00. The $475.00 adoption fee includes transport to the Chicago area. Our adoption application can be found at http://www.aliverescuememphis.org/adoptionapplication/ Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you submit an application immediately to start the adoption process. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, ALIVE Rescue Memphis is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Story
Introducing Bonbon, a wonderful 4 year old, 20 pound, mixed breed dog who is most likely a Corgi and Terrier mix. Bonbon has shorter legs and sports a funky white and gold rough coat. Bonbon is a playful and energetic boy who loves to run around the fenced yard getting the zoomies and seeking play partners from the other dogs or his foster mom. He settles nicely when inside and has good home manners. He really likes other dogs (cats unknown) and would do best in an adoptive household with at least one other dog.  Bonbon previously lived two children but because of allergies Bonbon was surrendered to our rescue for rehoming. He is housebroken and crate trained; despite really not liking to be crated he will settle and sleep. His foster mom says, "What can I say about this silly, lovable goofball. He is a very sweet boy that loves life!"  This cutie has been examined by a licensed veterinarian, inoculated, tested for diseases, neutered, and microchipped. He has no health issues nor special diet requirements. Manny is a handsome and personable,15-pound, male black and tan mix looking for a loving guardian. Manny was relinquished to Chicago Animal Care & Control. Luckily he was pulled by Famous Fido's and he is now in Chicago's Albany Park neighborhood. Volunteers have noted how sweet he is rolling on his back for belly rubs with his favorite people.
