Story
Hi, I’m Ludo! I’m a very handsome and unique corgi mix, mostly black with little spots of white on my chest and chin. I’m the perfect-sized dog! I’m quite timid and scared of people in general, so I prefer being in a quiet environment. And I really want to be with someone who is home a lot of the time. And I really like playing with dogs, so I would do best in a home that has another dog! That's when you'll really see my tail wag! I get along fine with my cat foster brother, and I even often let him share the couch with me (see the photo with us sitting together)! I think I would be pretty overwhelmed by children. I’m very good on the leash and don’t pull at all; but I need to be double leashed to make sure I stay safe, and I need a fenced yard. My foster mom crate trained me, but I prefer to spend my time in a comfier place. It would also be great if I could find a home with someone who has a very consistent schedule. I would love to sit on the couch or bed with you. And note that I take treats very gently from your hand, as you can see in my video. Just to let you know: my favorites are hot dogs! When you share treats with me, that's partly how I know I can trust you. It takes some time for me to warm up and feel comfortable in a new environment. But I'm up for the challenge if it means I can have a loving forever home of my own! I can't wait to meet you! I’ve had an adventurous life in my short 3.5 years (I may be a bit older, but I'm pretty sure I’m under 4!). I was found roaming the streets of a rural area and came to live with my foster mom after being in a local shelter for about a month. After my first week with my foster mom, I got scared on our nightly walk and ran away; but luckily, a dog tracker (Linda Cook), along with volunteers from IAR and other lovely people helped get me home!

Story
Sweet Diamond... surrendered to our vets office to be euthanized. Why? we have no clue! All that was wrong with this adorable little girl was she was overweight and had stopped eating with an upset stomach. Our vets got her back on track easily and we put her on some restricted calorie food. She has lost weight and her foster has done amazing with her. Diamond could not hardly get up the steps but now is moving up them like a champ. She is playing with her foster mom's dogs and is the best foot warmer there is... she also loves to sleep cuddled up to you. If this cute little girl could be the girl for you, please fill out our on line application. https://cliffordsarmyrescue.com/1423-2/

Story
Say hello to Lexi! She is a 6-year-old corgi mix. After a long battle with cancer, Lexi’s owner passed away in August 2019 and relatives of Lexi’s owner have been taking care of her ever since. The decision to rehome Lexi has been an extremely difficult decision. Lexi’s current caretaker has been living between two homes the past 7 months to ensure that she could remain in a familiar and loving environment that she has been accustomed to since being a puppy. Her current caretaker works very long shifts and has cats which Lexi is not compatible with. In effort to ensure that Lexi has the love and attention that she deserves, we are currently looking for a forever home for Lexi. We are primarily looking for adult households only, and in an ideal situation she would be with someone who is able to spend lots of time with her as she was the pet of an owner who was a retiree. Lexi is an amazing loyal dog that loves everyone.
