Story
Gypsie will turn 5yrs of age this month (November). She is a good listener, knows sit, stay, lay down, kennel & "go get your baby" meaning her toy(s). She loves squeaky toys, stuffed toys. Tug of war is her fave game. She is a good snuggler. Kennel trained and sleeps quietly in her kennel. I have a 9 month old female pup ( i can explain my reasoning more upon request) & Gypsie corrects this pup too hard. Gypsie is friendly with other dogs. I just dont think another female in the home would be a good fit. Gypsie is used to being the alpha female. Otherwise, she loves kids. Doesnt jump up. She is a sweetheart.

Makela is a female, 19.3 lb, brown and tan Basenji/Corgi mix. Makela's estimated date of birth is January, 2017. She was rescued from the Broken Arrow shelter as an owner surrender. She is quite shy but warms up quickly! You can meet Makela at Bent Arrow Veterinary Hospital. Call 918-459-9100 for an appointment. She has a $150.00 adoption fee plus the cost of 6 months of heartworm prevention. Note: ARF reserves the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal. Please be aware that our animal adoptions are NOT on a first come- first serve basis. Our sole purpose is to find the best possible home for the animals that fall under our care. Story
I independently rescued this beautiful corgi mix boy from being euthanized, even if I knew he wouldn't be the right fit for me. His previous owners left him abandoned in a vacant rental property after moving with no food and no water, and I knew I had to give him hope that the world was good to him. That he could have a caring and loving family again. We named Remus after Lupin in the Harry Potter series, because he was misunderstood. I believe it fits him. He has a history of growling when he's uncomfortable, but hasn't bitten anyone in the pound or in my household. No experience with children, but warmed up quickly to my dog and pays no mind to my cats. Once comfortable, he's goofy, energetic, and super cuddly. He does suffer from separation anxiety, and has not responded well to my crate training. He will need an experienced adopter who can give him the time, dedication, and love it takes for him to trust again, but I promise he will love you and your family with his whole heart.
