We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Renton, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay, PayPal, or cash. Doris (Katie) had a very rough start to life. As a young dog in China she was sold to the slaughter truck. Our fearless Chinese rescue partners intercepted the truck on the way to the slaughter house and managed to save Doris and the rest of the pups on the truck. After this first rescue, Doris lived in a outdoor rescue with 4000 other dogs and often didn’t get enough food to eat. Doris was fortunate to have been spotted by our Rescue Sister who scooped her up and brought her back to her much smaller rescue to get her prepared to fly to Seattle. Doris is currently in a foster home with other dogs and teen boys and is adjusting well. Doris is very fond of her foster family and wasted no time getting attached to them. She is happiest by your side and that includes snuggling up to you in bed. Doris has not been around young children but adores the teen boys in her foster home. Doris is indifferent towards the cat in the foster home. It is always up to the new family to be responsible with introducing new pets and in all interactions with pets and children. Doris loves other dogs & must go to a forever home with other dogs present in the home, this is mandatory. Doris is about three years old and weighs about 14lbs. Based on her appearance we believe she is a corgi mix. She has been spayed, is current on all vaccines including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, and rabies. Doris is microchipped, and has been wormed twice. Doris will need work with potty training and general obedience. This sweet girl has been through trauma and many transitions in her short life and is depending on us to find her the best forever home possible. With that in mind we are looking for a home where another dog is present. She needs a home that is able to be patient with the transition, willing to work with a trainer if necessary, and able to give her unconditional love. Please only submit an application if you are ready to adopt now and willing to go through our process. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a home visit followed by a meet and greet. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people who are not ready to commit. Please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. Due to the large volume of applications we receive, we are unfortunately not able to respond to everyone. We appreciate your understanding. Doris has an adoption fee of $1200

The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay, PayPal, or cash. Leon had a very rough start to life. He was born in a breeding business where he and his littermates spent their entire life in an overcrowded wire cage. There was never enough food to eat or clean water and no bed or toys or kind humans. After being passed over by buyers he was getting to the age where he couldn’t be sold for top dollar so he and 4 littermates were at high risk of ending up in the meat trade. Thankfully our rescuer partner in China intervened and asked if ASTR could find homes for these sweet corgi pups. Leon is currently in a foster home with other dogs and is adjusting well. In the past, Leon has not been handled nicely by humans and he is initially timid and hand shy. He’s starting to get the hang of toys and learning to walk on a leash. His favorite thing is definitely food. When it time to eat he will nibble at your ankles to let you know he's ready for his food. Leon has not been around young children but does fine with the teens in his foster home. It is always up to the new family to be responsible with introducing new pets and in all interactions with pets and children. Leon is about 6 months old and weighs about 15lbs. Based on his appearance we believe he is a corgi. He has been neutered, is current on all vaccines including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, and rabies. Leon is microchipped, and has been wormed twice. Leon will need work with potty training and general obedience. This sweet boy has been through trauma and many transitions in his short life and is depending on us to find him the best forever home possible. With that in mind we are looking for a home where he will not be left alone or crated all day. He needs a home that is able to be patient with the transition, willing to work with a trainer if necessary, and able to give him unconditional love. Story
My name is Miley Cyrus from Korea and I am a wonderful 3 year old Female Corgi. I am 23 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am a very happy, affectionate, and friendly dog who was just saved from the Korean slaughter farms. Korea kills 2.5 million dogs a year to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family. Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I need a home with a fenced-in yard and will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of exercise, love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup for only $75.  My adoption fee of $1450. will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Grooming, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle. A part of this adoption fee will also help us build our brand new 2 acre sanctuary. We are in need of building a new indoor barn for the dogs. The adoption fee is firm and helps cover medical expenses for our other rescue dogs in need of orthopedic surgery, urgent vet care, dental and teeth extractions, cherry eye removals, and more.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.

Story
HI - I'M BRUNO! I'm a sweet and adorable cream and tan colored 8-year-old male Welsh Corgi Cardigan, saved from a California shelter, where I was dumped because I guess, I was getting too old. I likely have some eyesight and hearing loss, and could even have some doggy dementia as I get turned around now and then. I would do best in a home without stairs as my back legs are a bit weak (although, you can carry me!). I'm not a big barker, and I love to eat, though I appreciate any help you can give in showing me the bowl. I've been good on the house-training front and good with other dogs, too. I'm a great dog who simply needs one final home where I can get to know my surroundings and settle in. I'll make a super companion. Can you adopt me? I weigh about 25 lbs.  My adoption fee of $250 covers spay, DA2PP shots, rabies, bordetella, heartworm test, microchip and other costs.  The adoption fee also helps cover the medical expenses of our other rescue dogs in need.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501c3 organization.  Please e-mail for an adoption application.
