Story
Silly Rusty!! This 17lb, 1ish yr old boy is always up to something! He is so shy when he first meets new folks, and takes at least a day or two before he starts to opens up. You’d never know he's a very silly, energetic pup that if he could, he'd spend his day running, playing with other dogs and exploring this big world! Because it takes him a few days to fully warm up to his new people, he must have a patient, encouraging, shy dog experienced home! He absolutely loves other dogs so another smallish to medium, playful dog that will help build his confidence is also required. Rusty is not much of a barker so if he has a little training, he could learn to be an office dog companion. He is fully crate trained but he needs a few more reminders and then he'll be fully house trained, too. Because Rusty is a young boy, he should not be home for more than 5-6hr intervals. He must have a fenced yard and kids must be over 12 yrs old.

As a young dog in China she was sold to the slaughter truck. Our fearless Chinese rescue partners intercepted the truck on the way to the slaughter house and managed to save Doris and the rest of the pups on the truck. After this first rescue, Doris lived in a outdoor rescue with 4000 other dogs and often didn’t get enough food to eat. Doris was fortunate to have been spotted by our Rescue Sister who scooped her up and brought her back to her much smaller rescue to get her prepared to fly to Seattle. Doris is currently in a foster home with other dogs and teen boys and is adjusting well. Doris is very fond of her foster family and wasted no time getting attached to them. She is happiest by your side and that includes snuggling up to you in bed. Doris has not been around young children but adores the teen boys in her foster home. Doris is indifferent towards the cat in the foster home. It is always up to the new family to be responsible with introducing new pets and in all interactions with pets and children. Doris loves other dogs & must go to a forever home with other dogs present in the home, this is mandatory. Doris is about three years old and weighs about 14lbs. Based on her appearance we believe she is a corgi mix. She has been spayed, is current on all vaccines including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, and rabies. Doris is microchipped, and has been wormed twice. Doris will need work with potty training and general obedience. This sweet girl has been through trauma and many transitions in her short life and is depending on us to find her the best forever home possible. With that in mind we are looking for a home where another dog is present. She needs a home that is able to be patient with the transition, willing to work with a trainer if necessary, and able to give her unconditional love. Please only submit an application if you are ready to adopt now and willing to go through our process. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a home visit followed by a meet and greet. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people who are not ready to commit. Please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. Due to the large volume of applications we receive, we are unfortunately not able to respond to everyone. We appreciate your understanding. Doris has an adoption fee of $1200

The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay, PayPal, or cash. Leon had a very rough start to life. He was born in a breeding business where he and his littermates spent their entire life in an overcrowded wire cage. There was never enough food to eat or clean water and no bed or toys or kind humans. After being passed over by buyers he was getting to the age where he couldn’t be sold for top dollar so he and 4 littermates were at high risk of ending up in the meat trade. Thankfully our rescuer partner in China intervened and asked if ASTR could find homes for these sweet corgi pups. Leon is currently in a foster home with other dogs and is adjusting well. In the past, Leon has not been handled nicely by humans and he is initially timid and hand shy. He’s starting to get the hang of toys and learning to walk on a leash. His favorite thing is definitely food. When it time to eat he will nibble at your ankles to let you know he's ready for his food. Leon has not been around young children but does fine with the teens in his foster home. It is always up to the new family to be responsible with introducing new pets and in all interactions with pets and children. Leon is about 6 months old and weighs about 15lbs. Based on his appearance we believe he is a corgi. He has been neutered, is current on all vaccines including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, and rabies. Leon is microchipped, and has been wormed twice. He needs a home that is able to be patient with the transition, willing to work with a trainer if necessary, and able to give him unconditional love. Story
Meet Lilo LW Name: All my friends call me Lilo, named after the little girl in the movie Lilo and Stitch. I know, I know, I have Stitch’s ears tho, but Stitch is described as very muttchievous and I am not muttchievous one bit. I am THE good girl. Favorite Movie: Pippi Longstockings. Not just because I have long white socks, copper red hair and superhumanly strength. She is fantastickal and fun and silly and makes every one happy. Plus she has a monkey as a pet and that would be totally banannas. Age/Weight/Breed: I sport a red cardigan sweater over a very starchy white shirt. I am 7 months old and weigh 35 pounds. I might still be growing and could easily get up to 50 pounds. I am listed as a Corgi mix. Theme Song: Ow, she's a brick house, she's mighty-mighty, just lettin' it all hang out. And by “it”, I mean my tongue, it’s hanging out. Foster Mommy says I am a very sturdy lady, so you will litterally hear She’s A Brick House by the Commuttdoors playing every time I bounce into the room. High School Superlative: Most Outgoing. It is true true, I go outside for my potty breaks, but I think I would want to be voted Most Ingoing, because I love to be inside with my Foster Family. I am crate trained and potty trained. Good With Other Dogs: I easily make friends, because I have no pompous aspawrations to be the leader, I am very content being the bottom rung on any ladder. At my Foster Mom’s house there are 6 other doggies. Class Schedule: I am being home schooled just like all the kids. My favorite class is recess when I get to throw my bones in the air and jump around to catch them. I always miss, but it is fun to try. I am making A’s in the class called Good Girls 101, we learn not to nibble on people hands or jump on their clothes. I have a Basic Skills class where I learned “sit” and sorta “stay” sorta. Favorite Toy: Does a leash count as a toy??? I get excited when I see it because I love going on sniffathons. I also like my toy bones, stuffy animals, and I have been known to get down with an antler bone too. If you adopt me, I hope you can take me to the Pet Supply store and I will pick out a new stuffy animal. Probably a monkey. How does that sound??? Cliff’s Notes: Lilo LW- female, 7 months, 35 lbs in March will likely be 50 lbs, Pembroke Welsh Corgi mix, red/white, great with all dogs, very active, playful, happy, submissive, potty and crate trained, loves leashed walks, fun girl GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $500 for puppies under a year old, which also includes the cost of transportation to the assigned location. Medical records accompany each dog at the time of delivery and may be emailed to adopter prior to dog arrival if desired. Microchips will be automatically registered to the new owner after payment of adoption fee. The registration site we use is Michelson Found Animals which is free to use and update during the lifetime of your pet. Please allow 24-48 hours for the new information to appear on the website. Story
Goofy is an 15-20;b little cutie around 1 yr old. He's the happiest and most snuggly dog ever - just wants to be in your lap or getting belly rubs!! This guy is of unknnown origin and the breed mix is just a guess. He walks well on a leash and watches Netflix like a pro! He is calm and well behaved and gets along with other pooches as well as people. He is a wonderful snuggler but doesn't enjoy dog parks and would prefer to be a solo pup or one small friend just to get all the attention although he is never aggressive. He does shed and is not hypoallergenic. He is fostered in Houston TX (please do not ask his location - it is Houston TX no matter what it might say elsewhere) so you cannot meet prior to adoption. His fee is $850. Email houstonstreetdogs@gmail.com for an application. He has not been and will not be cat/kid tested because his foster doesn't have either.
