Story
I adopted Gracie about 9-10 years ago, and I was told she was about 6 years old at the time. I was also told that she is a retired showcat and hails from Texas. I adopted her from the rescue she had been placed with in Northern Michigan. At the time, adopting a younger healthy cat seemed so easy to me. All I needed was food and litter, so why not give a cat a loving home? But now that she is getting older, I am realizing that she will eventually start to have medical issues that I truly cannot afford. She has some small issues now that I found out about at a checkup a year or two ago, but I haven’t been able to take her back. I don’t want to continue putting off her medical care, and I feel that finding her someone more financially stable than myself is the right thing to do. About Gracie: Loving. Talkative. Loves to cuddle and stay warm under blankets. Loves new people. Needs to be an only pet. Needs to have a blood test to confirm hyperthyroidism. May need dental care also.
